That was fun, but over all too soon. I loved seeing a different side of Lord Baltimore. "Am I your toy, that you put such horrors in my path at every turn or do you simply have so much disdain for the world that you no longer care what new evils arise?" I love the rather polite way he's saying, "Oh, come on! Seriously!?"
That line was pretty awesome. And yes, it was over all too soon but still this was definitely a great story.
I'd say in the scheme of things released so far my ranking would be:
1)the novel
2)the FCBD one shot
3)Leskovar's remedy tied with the Curse Bells
4)Plague Ships
I'd rank Dr Leskovar's Remedy a little higher, I think. I really liked the humour in this one.
The humor was great, I just really liked how well the FCBD issue fit the style of the novel in that the focus was more on the monster and the town than Baltimore himself. For my tastes I just think he works better as a supporting character in his own story than the focus.
I got my prize from the Exorcism chat this week, and it was Leskovar #1, and I read it this evening.
I enjoyed it, thought the art was absolutely stunning too (I'd LOVE to see Stenbeck on a B.P.R.D. arc), but I didn't really notice any of the humour you guys mentioned. I read it as a slightly pulpy horror story.
