Holocaust would in turn give the green warrior a finger poker of doom directed at her shoulder. "Do not touch me again, lest you will find your arm severed from your torso."Originally Posted by Green trollop
Now his hand would move towards her cheeks as he grasped on rather tightly. "A sharp tongue you have as well." Jenna would suddenly feel herself weaker as if her very life essence would escape her body before Holocaust pushed her back. "But you are worthy enough to be a delightful morsel.""Aha! I thought you looked most familiar! Pity your face is not what it once was, alas, now it is one not even thy matron could cherish."
He'd smile. "Though our alignments differ the enemy is the same. You are nothing more then a pitifully unattuned treat for my eyes.""Intentions of base villainy cast aside, your efforts to crisp dearest Kulan ought be lauded, at the least."
"Mine is an ancient and natural power. Do you not recognize a djinn when one walks among you?"." He replied with a sneer.
"Quiet." He'd turn towards the warden. "Something you should do, human."
"Apocalypse is chaos in its purest form! Where you are the earth Apocalypse is the water crashing against the cliff eroding it slowly but surely until it all crashes down." He'd point at the wizard. "In the final hours the Acolytes will be the ones standing on the ruins of your kingdom. This I can assure you."

The warrior stroke his chin as he listen to this....man of sorts. "I see that you too must have been brought here by foul sorcery. Hope only lingers that our time here is short. I was to be healed on this day and brought into the service of the temple of Ishtar far from the stank that is Set and his irk. The priest that I am with is to grant me restoration of my true strength and for that I swear that his life will not forfeit under my watch no matter the folly he seems to bring upon himself"
He punctuated the point by bending a finger to indicate Cleric House's approach of Gath as they spoke. " Either he is the greatest of all holy men or of all jesters"
"Try to Remember. It's Only a Game!"
Oxum to many followers in Hy-Brasil. But is healing truly her purview? I had thought the rituals and practices of her devotees were more....amorous ... in nature. Still, you do very well to abandon the sick cult of serpentine Set."
A Djinn?" Cassius remarks. "So, I guess the question is, which one of ye rubbed the bottle?" He chuckles to himself, then addresses the djinn. Get this through ye head, ye damn Djinn, I don't listen to no Demons." James, says, still leaning on his scythe

Vendol chuckled: "Oh indeed many of her practitioners are my friend ..many many have I seen their arts in all their work. However a few healers do exist within her temples as well and he is one of them; a gifted one among many or so it has been claimed. Not only can he practice her arts and his own healing ways but he has a glib tongue by which many a person falls sway when he is using it wisely. I hunger for peace from years of warfare and thus has my path touched upon her temple for healing and for change"
Vendol turned to address the man whom his new ally had spoken to and offered words of his own: "Indeed it foolish to provoke those of powers beyond such or those whose fate is the same as your own. I may wish for plowshares for my life but it does not mean I have gone that way this very eve. I would take kindly that you think similar of my holy friend near the wizard Gath as well. His life is in my protection; I'd abide that your blade never touch his skin while my eyes still see light"
"Try to Remember. It's Only a Game!"
"I share your sentiments regarding the pitifully unattuned." He'd motion around him. "To which you and your ilk all belong.."
"Though we share a common foe, I will not tolerate such words from a human such as you."
"Or this green spawn for that matter."
The last of the bejeweled thugs crashed through the portal, landing on the deck with a satisfying crunch, teeth spilling everywhere.
The trench coated tough looked over the trash-strewn alleyway, wondering what significance it held that people would decide to sell incredibly powerful magic artifacts in it.
Maybe nothing. Dumb %^&&s probably didn't even know they were fencing bracelets that would make the Doctor blush.
Midnighter turned and looked outwards, past the grimy alley and out at the world.
He'd been expecting to spend the day with Apollo today. For once, scum were keeping their heads down and it'd looked like a pretty relaxing day was ahead of him. Which was why he'd been expecting the jarring sense from his battle computer telling him that he needed to get out of his dimension and head towards this strange other one, to track down...hell if he knew. He just knew that things never were as peaceful as they seemed.
If bastards aren't kicking in your neighborhood, Midnighter reflected, they're usually trying something a few Burroughs over.
Suddenly he whirled around and spotted someone exploding from the garbage bags.
&^**cker was hiding, sonnuva-
But as Midnighter gave chase across the alleyway, there was a flash of light...
The Predator of Midnight pursued his prey across an abandoned side street.
It looked for a few seconds that the panting man would escape, but a huge leaping kick took the Predator a few meters through the air and slammed the man into a wall.
With an angry growl, the Predator stalked across the filthy ground and ripped the necklace from his throat.
Typical of rats to hide within trash...wait....
The man clutched his head. He'd seen...something about this before. Something was...wrong.
With a flash of light, he was transported to an arena. He looked around, seeing a group of others around him. And a man on a very ornate chair, floating above him.
"What in the nine Hells is going on here?" he barked in surprise.
“You know what the best thing about magic is?
As Eli lay on the bench, draped in white, he could feel the warmth fleeing his body. His mission was over. His purpose fulfilled. The journey was long and arduous, but through trials and tribulations, blood sweat and tears he did not waver from his task. His body was numb the wound to his mid section no longer ached. There was only numbness now.
Lombardi remained at Eli's side scribing every word syllable the dyeing man had to offer. The weight of the world was gradually lifting off of Eli as blank page after blank page became adorned with the words he held so dear. Each verse had meaning and as Eli recited them all in order he began to recount his journey. What horrors he had encountered on the road. Men reduced to savages all morality and compassion lost. Carnegie, Redridge the thugs and hijackers, the monsters that plague this world were all but a distant memory now.
Eli turned his head ever so slightly, and there was Solara. In the short time he had known her she had grown so much. He could hear her stifled sobbing. A look of sorrow and admiration covered her face, as the tears flowed freely downward. She had aided him as much as he her. Their paths were destined to cross. Now that his purpose was finished all that was his was now hers. His eyes began to close. He was at peace.
Than came the flash. A burst of light so bright………….brighter than the sun.

"The 'fiend' in question," she replies, pointing at Gath. "He is the source of all blights, Hulk and darkspawn alike, of that I am sure."
"Huzzah! Even in these dire times, warriors must always be in a sporting mood! Okay, let's--"
As the Warrior's excitement fades, Jenna lowers her arms and approaches him.
"Are you... ill? Or merely having second thoughts, Hyperborean?"
"Methinks I shall just attribute your... ah... roguish banterings... to a bold and energetic ambition."
Nearly collapsing in Holocaust's vicinity, Jenna clenches and curls her fists, as the very strength is sapped from her.
"Urghk...! Away with your blackening touch! You reek of death more than--!"
In a powered adrenaline fury, she smashes away Holocaust's right hand with hers!
"No! I will not fight you here, djinn. The spectacle would only be to Kulan Gath's craven amusement!"
