I think I'll stick with this for a while, see where they take it.

I personally don't care for jurgens' art, but it's serviceable. The supporting cast was always interesting, but my attention started to wander with helspont yapping on.

He was a really stereotypical, mustache twirling villain. I think he's not really meant to be taken seriously. We know it wasn't Giffen's idea to use him.

Yeah, I fully expected him to put Superman in an elaborate deathtrap and then explain his diabolical plans in great detail ...

I actually like Helspont and was looking forward to this, but you can tell that the writer just isn't that into it.

I don't know much about Helspont, but I was more interested in him than this Masochist character, who comes off to me as a pretty low-level villain. You'd think Helspont would get his own story arc and not just two issues before we move onto Miss Wristslasher.
