I've never asked a question here, because I've never had a good question to ask until now. After reading the current Ultimate X-Men issue "Stormfront", I have a question for you Brian Wood.

The way Nick Spencer and you wrote the interaction and relationship of Colossus and Storm is very similar. Nick Spencer made me think that Storm and Colossus loved each other. I thought the 2 of them were going to get together (as in start dating each other). And the way you wrote the 2 in Stormfront really makes me believe these 2 love each other in a boyfriend/girlfriend way.

I know Colossus is gay, and how some fans would say this can't be because of that...but I say it can be so. I'm not going to go into details, I just believe Colossus is best friends with Storm, and they clearly have a close relationship more than the other X-Men. And Colossus from my point of view looks like a very lonely character. Storm kinda seems that way a little bit now too. I see no reason why Colossus couldn't decide to be with his best friend Storm, and get married to her and possibly have a kid down the line.

And I know some point of views will see Colossus and Storm's relationship as more of a brother and sister relationship. It looks different from my point of view.

So my question for you Brian Wood is...Would you ever consider making Storm and Colossus girlfriend and boyfriend (dating), have them get married, and/or have a child together?

Please tell me your thoughts sir. I know this is just a...hey how about this idea...type of question, but what do you think? Sound interesting? You'll give it some thought? A polite way to say your not interested at the moment...I have no plans regarding this in the foreseeable future, but thanks for playing...please try again???LOL

It's not a "life style", Pandora. He's gay.

Whatever. I edited my post so it says now..."I know Colossus is gay". I just asked Wood a question that I hope he answers. But that's ok, I like editing posts. Editing posts is my life style!!!

P.S. - I guess I should also say...clearly I didn't mean anything by it, so don't get all serious business on me.

And now a message from an internet cat to lighten the mood.

An easier way to ask my question I suppose is just this.....

Storm and Colossus make a cute couple. I'd like to see them two together. Any thoughts on this Brian Wood? Any chance you would consider this? Sound interesting? Or a polite way to say your not interested at the moment...I have no plans regarding this in the foreseeable future, but thanks for playing...please try again???LOL

Wood is an obvious far-left American liberal, and is therefore unlikely to "de-gay" Colossus. If anything, he might even have a few characters "come out", as it were.

I would prefer it if Colossuss remained as Storm's "Gay Best Friend". It's something women tend to cherish and respect. A lot of girls even as young as 11 dream about someday having a gay male friend whom they can confide in, someone who won't judge them like their female freinds might, because of being male, and also there's no worry about becoming more than freinds or having any sexual feelings distort mutual understanding, because they're gay. Women like talking to males about sensitive things, but they often don't out of fear of them lying and telling her what she wants to hear just to "get into her pants". So to a lot of women, a gay male friend is a valuable friend in which they can trust more than anyone; much more than most heterosexual males who might be physically attracted to them, and much, much more than their potentially socially competitive female friends. I suppose gay guys are able to offer women a chance to have a friendship that has all the qualities of her being freinds with a male or a female, but none of the drawbacks. A comforting middle ground.

To conclude: I think Colossus and Storm's friendship is a thousand times more meaningful than if they were lovers or sexual partners.

Edit - (Sorry about me being overly descriptive. It's sort of what I do. I become insanely descriptive when I'm typing as I try to articulate my thoughts and best as possible. Sometimes I look back at my posts and realise they probably seem a little bit aggressive, but I'm sound as a pound, I don't mind anything on this board, I just like to argue opinions with my own).
