I usually like alternate universe stories but I'm not really digging the idea of this. The characters aren't exactly thrilling me...but Pak is a good writer worth giving it a go. Relieved it's not Claremont. I gave X-Men Forever a go, I was even excited by the concept but was thoroughly disappointed. Here's what the cover should look like with the logo. It really seems like they should have thought about the pink and orange blending together....

Dazzler got my attention but the alt realities lost it. Just not my cup of tea for an ongoing. I do remember reading some previous Exiles issues and liked the direction the took with it and the rotating cast but it's just not my thing for an ongoing. I hope this doesn't mean Dazzler is out of 616 continuity completely. I really hated when they did that with Psylocke when she was in Exiles.

I'll give it a chance. Nice to see someone at the X-offices actually give a crap about Dazzler. I'm curious about that cover too... the woman on the left looks far more like Emma (or Emmelina from the recent storyline -- and presumably not the steampunk Emma Pak references in the article) than Dazzler. Not sure why their core 3 would be dazzler, howlett, and kid nightcrawler, and then they'd skip having dazzler on the cover at all.

I'm not surprise Marvel... i already have a feeling that alternate timeline story will go on to another book and xtreme cast will be different than the last one,but a badass cowboy is always a welcome than that comedian headmaster although that headmaster is pretty much fun book and give me a few chuckle i'll give this one a shot,so i'm guessing that "that kael the invoker" is one of the enemy,right?

Because the real X-treme was abouclandestinene group of x-men that did not trust the rest of the team and set out to complete the dyseny diaries in order to understand and prevent the future she envisioned all the same while setting the ground work for X.S.E.

Mean while the original Exiles was equal parts of all that was good with Quantum leap, Sliders, and what if.

i’m a little confused, too. according to the article, the team’s core characters are dazzler, governor general howlett and kid nightcrawler, emma is more like a relatively minor role only appearing in one or two arc. but the lady on the left of the cover definitely is her.

and clearly she is not the steampunk emma frost from warren ellis's story (unless he means her inverted image).

A 'brand new cast' that features two of the most over - used characters from the Marvel Universe. Nightcrawler reincarnated as Wolverine's 'son'. And here's bloody Armor again - a second rate Jubilee that for some perverse reason every X writer adores.

I'd give it a go if it has Dazzler in it. It is essentially an Exiles book, but if it is even a fraction as good as that title I'll be happy. I would like to perhaps have a book without a Wolverine, but I understand Marvel needs to shift the book. But hey this is X-Treme X-Men so I assume the team will fluctuate.

We get pissed when Marvel recycles ideas and then we get pissed then they try to do something a little different.
