    Default WC12: There's "No Going Back" for Slott's "Spider-Man"

In June Dan Slott & Giuseppe Camuncoli kick off the "No Going Back" arc of "Amazing Spider-Man," where Spidey runs afoul of the Lizard and Morbius, the Living Vampire. CBR spoke with Slott for details.

Always enjoy stories featuring the Lizard. Shed was an awesome arc.

I am conflicted about "Shed". On one hand, it devolved the Lizard's character completely to the primal reptilian form. On the other hand, Curt Connors killed and ate his son

The fact that he killed and ate his son, is what sells the story. Its dark, people didn't see that coming.

Agreed! That was the highlight of the issue. Spidey's reaction was hilarious.

I wonder if this will end with that "the villains dies in human form and repentant" death for Connor.

Also I was hoping it would be Sajani and her attitude we'd see more of at Horizon. Maybe later.

Not a fan of Shed. I like Curt Connors as a borderline tragic figure, not an outright monster. And Billy was a good character.

I LOVED Shed. It took maybe the most boring recurring rogue from the Stan Lee/Ditko/Romita era and broke it in a cool way.

Yeah, wake me up whenever Komodo gets involved.

Morbius! LOL, it's just too funny! It's like coming full circle with these characters. It started with Morbius and the Lizard, and it may end that way for one of them.

It will be interesting to see how Peter's co-workers react with Morbius. I imagine some of the tension may come just from Ends of the Earth. Some of them may be a little more leery after that. Or worse, they may be too friendly.

Probably my favorite Gauntlet story. I wonder if the people who complain that Marvel characters don't change over time are the same ones complaining that the Lizard... changed.

So glad that Giuseppe Camuncoli seems to have been added to the regular art rotation. I would've been sad to lose him after the death of the Daken series.

This puzzles me. In what possible way is Billy a character, let alone a good one? Billy has no personality, no role beyond being a permanent damsel in distress, and has been a different age every time we meet him. He's just...there.

Never cared about billy and always hated the cliche, think of billy , dr corners, and transform back, but his mom dieing was too much, you changed the lizard character into another mutated monster in the marvel U, we dont need a new one.

Also what point one story is he refering to ?

Shed was a masterwork, the only time when the writing matched JMS' best. I'm a little concerned that Slott is going to undo it. (And I realize that Wells is best at horror stories, what with VenomDark Origin and Carnage)
