Thunderbolts to become Dark Avengers

Sorry about the change of subject but would anyone mind explaining to me why exactly June is on the team and as Scarlet Witch of all Avengers? What does she have in common with Scarlet Witch to have even gotten that codename?

It's using the origonal Thunderbolts formula, desguising villains as heros. But because Norman Osborne isn't written with the originality to create new names for his cronies he steals the identities of established heros. To be fair it gets the public to trust you faster but is relitvlly lazy considering how many villains changed their names when they became Thunderbolts.

I have to say I loved Ellis Thunderbolts. But I loved the original Dark Avengers team more. That line-up was great. All these other DA line-ups seem very D-List compared to the first one. If that team were back it would be awesome, this I can skip.

Yea but with the other villains, they at least had something in common with who they pretended to be. Daken and Gorgon have Wolverine-esc fighting ability and healing factor (with Daken having the claws for real) Moonstone and Superia have super strength, speed and energy projection, Bullseye and Trickshot are skilled marksmen, Venom and Ai Apaec both have spider based powers, and Skaar is Hulk's son but June has absolutely nothing to do with Scarlet Witch so it really makes no sense why she's Scarlet Witch. It's like Osbon reached into a hat to choose her codename.

Thunderbolts becomes Dark Avengers with issue #175, but the old team won't disappear.

At least one podcast interview I've heard with Jeff Parker indicates that even he doesn't think that the Dark Avengers title will last for a very long time before it's switched back to Thunderbolts, but that it is basically going to be the same story he would have told even without the title change, except with maybe some different characters.

I don't think the title is switching back to Thunderbolts if this works. (at least not anytime soon) If the name change helps sales then I anticipate the book carrying on under the Dark Avengers banner for the forseeale future & if it doesn't help sales & they continue to drop then we won't have the book in any formatt.....This latest status quo change I think is do or die for this book
