I liked the "Dark Avengers" concept but not having it absorb the Thunderbolts....

I suppose it reflects a the-enemy-of-my-enemy membership drive on the part of the Avengers.

Maybe the team will be comprised of people who've been granted amnesty if they help fight the X-Men/Phoenix?

I'm more worried about Songbird's fate the next issue more than what's beyond it now.

There's Fantastic Four. Aside from that, the only non-X/Avenger team books are minis, like Legion of Monsters.

No, why would it? Just because she doesn't have a title doesn't necessarily mean she's getting killed off.

I'm pleased Parker is still writing, though. I didn't like some of his Underbolts roster choices, but overall I feel his writing was very strong.

Marvel renaming titles as much as they relaunch nowadays. And last time I check they do that occasionally.

I thought Norman Osborn had come up with another Avengers group with Skaar and they were the Dark Avengers? I think either Marvel editors or Marvel Writers are slowly but surely going mad.

First they turned The Busiek Thunderbolts into a Pro-Reg squad of murderers under Norman Osborn where only Moonstone and Songbird remained
Second The Thunderbolts were disbanded and Norman retooled them into a suicide mission with no trace of the original members
Third Norman reoutfited villains into heroes looking like the Avengers calling the title Dark Avengers. (same artist, same vibe that Ellis had done on T-Bolts)
Fourth The Thunderbolts became runners of the a villain prison under Luke Cage
Fifth Osborn comes back and remake another Dark Avengers teams with his own evil Avengers
Sixth the T-Bolts become the Dark Avengers again

And then the Defenders will become the Thunderbolts while The Secret Avengers will become the Spotlighters.
