Pft, whatevs. Spidey jobbed the entire X-Men team in Secret Wars, and has outwitted the Juggernaut at least twice I can think of. Game to Spidey.

Though to be fair, I'm not sure how he's supposed to beat the combined might of Collosus + Juggernaut in a straight up fight. But then, he wouldn't engage him in a straight up fight, I don't think, he'd retreat and find a way that he can hurt him, then come back.

Good to see Spider-Man being in one of the fights in the VS series.
And Larroca art looks a bit diferent and even better that from the Iron Man series.
Have to say that in the VS series,the artists are just making a awesome work from what i have seen so far,

I feel that the follow clip depict's Spider-Man's demise. Just compare Spidey to Starscream. I envision that this is Spidey's death in the future and his soul can finally go to Mephisto as his debt to him.

when did he trade his soul to mephisto? OMD just featured him trading his marriage for his aunt's life. no soul was given to mephisto.

Anything that has to do with Mephisto comes with a price. And Peter's soul was the key to that deal. Only problem is that he doesn't know that yet. Marriage means nothing to a demon like Mephisto; let's get real about this. The demon wanted Peter's soul, and he got it. Mephisto is just waiting until the day Peter dies so that he can collect what is owed to him. I think that was the reason why he wanted to help him save his Aunt May: His soul for her life. Right now Peter's soul is on loan by the demon.

No, it isn't according to the regular fictional representation of the devil taking your soul for a favor you have to at least say the word, or sign some sort of paper, which neither Peter or MJ did. And the only way to get real with comic books is to read what is published on paper approved by the writers and editors to be what is happening or happened to the fictional character, according to that the deal with Mephisto didn't happened because there was no wedding due to a brick and a pigeon. So Peter's "soul" is where it should be,in the hands of the Marvel Comics people.

Mephisto is a very manipulative demon. The marriage is just a cover for Peter's soul. The demon removed the marriage; but Peter's soul was the price in doing so. And Peter's soul is on loan until he dies.
