Remenders run amounts to a 30 issue omnibus. The rate at which sales seem to be falling on Rucka's run, its not looking good from a longevity point of view, which would mean no omnibus. Hopefully the Omega Effect crossover has some lasting effect in bringing on new readers from Daredevil and Avenging Spider-man. This is bearing in mind that I am getting the numbers off the internet which have questionable accuracy at best. If true, its a pity because, like Remenders run before it, its a pretty good book.
I also hope this Omega crossover with Spidey and DD brings attention to Rucka's Punisher run cause it's good material.
He is writing good street wise stories, while balancing the spandex crowd of the MCU.
A big part of me wishes Marvel had allowed Moon Knight to partake in this, perhaps be issue #13, done by a fill in even then started with a new creative team at #14. Done what DC did with Aquaman 12yrs ago when that relaunch arc of 12 issues tanked. They didn't cancel they book they made a big marketing push about the creative change, the title went to issue #60 after that.
Punisher, Spidey, DD and MK are always good together imo.

I would agree that could have helped with the sales of moon knight. also the 3.99 price might have scared away a few people who weren't familiar with him
a factor with this though is MK is based out of Los Angeles now and all the omega effect crossovers are in New York

Moon Knight was murdered by its slow, questionable start and, yeah, that completely nonsensical price-point. It's kind of ridiculous that Marvel has SO much faith in Bendis' appeal alone to the point where they think that Bendis' name can convince fans to pay four bucks for a monthly Moon Knight title.
It looked even worse when you consider that the other two Big Shot titles were $2.99.

I have the first volume of this series pre-ordered, and have been excited for it since day one. Can't wait to read my first book by Rucka... but I'm still tradewaiting, so that can't be true. >_<

I agree, us lowly readers don't actually know of any internal policies (and apologies if I've implied otherwise), but the 20K mark has been pretty consistent over the years, and readers & posters in general have come to accept that.
I'm certainly not the first fan to call 20,000 cancellation point a "policy" and I apologize if I've mis-represented myself or Marvel.
Yep, nobody's ever quit Marvel. Just another one of my "lies".
Well Axel has said they are going to publish less minis so that good minis don't get overlooked. It appears that Marvel has finally seen that flooding the market is not a good idea; though they are attempting to fix it the opposite way. They need to publish less redundant junk, not less minis.
The problem with that is what do you class as redundant junk? A bad story or a story thats not relevant to the MU? As far as i'm concerned, if the story is entertaining and well told then its irrelevant whether its in "continuity" or not. Its entertainment value is all that matters. Story quality, not whether it "counts" or not.
What can Marvel do to get me to buy The Punisher? They can make the story cross over with one of their best books, Daredevil. Oh wait...
But seriously, it worked. My OCD prevents me from just picking up the x-over issue (because god forbid I don't understand 100% of what's going on) so over the past couple of weeks I bought #1-9. Haven't actually read them yet, but I will do so before the Omega Drive story.
