Hakuryuu is hardcore.

Yep, Hyakuryu is fast becoming my favourite character in the series.

I'm not sure I actually like him, but he's interesting.

And the sort of subverted parallels between him and Zuko from Avatar keep coming.

It's uncanny.

So Magi is getting an anime this October. I still need to catch up with the rest of the manga, but I might check out the anime as well.

The last couple of chapters have been great fun.

I love how Aladdin is too busy getting shit done to bother with his roommate trying push him around.

Just when I thought this manga couldn't be more awesome, it kicks it up another notch. New rules for magic, new types of magic, crazily intense instructors? Plus Aladdin getting a serious power up. When he takes those crystals off, he's gonna be dangerous.

Alibaba also remains the man.

Magi is really hitting it's stride of late. It's good stuff.

Man, I love this manga. ^^

I really liked how Alibaba got those pirate kids free, because it was pretty much the kind of thing Sinbad would have done. It's nice to see Alibaba is still picking up new tricks.

Poor Mor. Not that into Hakuryuu, but totally friend-zoned by Alibaba.

Kouha is pure traptastic awesome. I love how laid back and easily bored he seems to be. I hope we'll get to see a fight between him and Sharrkan eventually. (Also, apparently he employs masochistic handmaidens, which is brilliant in a very twisted kind of way.)

So, apparently everyone from Heliohapt look like Sharrkan, huh? Poor Sphintus, obviously trying to be all tsundere with Aladdin, yet getting ignored. ^^

Hm, so, Aladdin is basically learning magic from scratch while keeping his magi powers sealed away? I wonder if that means he'll end up redonkeylously powerful once he starts using his full power again. And I really liked that magicians in the universe can't just read a lot of books and cast spells all day, but actually need to train their bodies as well. I've always thought that's how magic should work. Then again, I suppose it makes sense since magoi and ki is apparently the same thing.

Poor Alibaba keeps getting trolled. Hang in there, man! You can do it! XD

Also, I have seen the first episode of the anime.

The quality seems pretty good, but they are rushing the plot. Maybe they just want to get to a good start by skipping ahead a bit, but it still worries me.
