Huh. So apparently Sinbad is secretively a pretty manipulative and kinda dark dude.

I'm not quite sure if I should feel disappointed or intrigued by this development. o_O

I think I don't really like the message of this chapter.

so this supposedly "benevolent" Will of the Rukh will occasionally screw people over really badly. But no matter how much you got the short end of the stick you should just accept it as "fate" because if you don't it automatically means you are EVIL. And this is presented as completely right.

I really hate this type of fatalistic theme.

Curiously, this seems to be exactly what Al Sarmen claims to be about - rebelling against fate. (Which apparently requires you to turn evil, because good people are sheep.)

...Actually, this sorta gives the new revalation regarding Sinbad some interesting implications.

Magi will be getting anime adaptation in the fall!

I really, really hope they do it justice and stay true to the manga. I hate it when manga I really, really like get inferior anime adaptions.

And goddammit, what the heck happened to my Zetman anime?! It made no sense for it to end like that when there's so much material in the manga that they could've used. Instead, they went into Fillerland on a freakin' whim.

12 episode constraint. There was no way it was ever going to cover everything, and a new season was far from guaranteed. Unless the company was really betting on this, there was no way it was going to be a faithful adaptation.

It was strongly implied before, but this chapter finally shows that Sinbad isn't the completely benevolent figure people think he is. Had the story be framed just little bit differently he could very well be the bad guy. Aladdin managed to see right through him.

The end of the chapter is interesting, I though this will be the point of the story where the protagonists have sort of "fall out" , but it seems that's not the case. I wonder what will happen next.

Sinbad is an enjoyably mercurial character.

Absurdly powerful, a good man and a real visionary but there's this interesting darker side to him.

The clips look good, but then again they also look like parts of the intro sequence, and intros pretty much always has awesome animation.

Yep, Hyakuryu is fast becoming my favourite character in the series.

And the sort of subverted parallels between him and Zuko from Avatar keep coming.
