Short answer: Manga losely inspired by Arabian Nights. Aladdin and Alibaba become friends and have magical adventures! Also, Sinbad the Sailor is in it, and he is awesome.

Long answer: What starts out as a story about magical dungeons and genies soon take a turn for a somewhat more complicated power struggle as a mighty empire tries to expand its influence into other smaller kingdoms, all while within a shady secret society conspires to plunge the world into darkness for their own mysterious purposes. There's a lot of politics and economy stuff going on, but there's still a ton of awesome fighting and magic. Meanwhile the hero is trying to discover his true identity and the nature of his mysterious powers. Also, Sinbad the Sailor is in it, and he is awesome.

    I like Aladdin.

    I like genies.

It's not necessarily a deal breaker, but I do appreciate the heads up.

I'm generally not a big fan of politics in real life but.... the one politically based manga I did read I enjoyed immensely(granted, it had action in it, but still) so..... 1 out of 1 ain't bad.

I read through this because I had some free time.

It's pretty good. I'm not all that engaged by the characters yet, but the story is still very much in its infancy. However the world and magic systems are quite interesting and the art is pretty good. Morgiana is probably by favourite character so far but even then I'm still a little "Eh," on her.

I'm still pretty bummed that spoilers:
Ugo had to die. He was kind of awesome for a big headless muscle-bound genie.
    end of spoilers

Well, not really. It uses a lot of characters like Aladdin, Alibaba, and even Sindbad, not to mention a lot of that particular mythology like genies.

It is an adventure manga. There is an overarching plot, an evil organization, a conquering empire, an ancient mystery, and Aladdin's quest to find out just who exactly is he.

And Ghost is right, it is awesome.

That right there gets my attention. I've been meaning to track this down. How many chapters is it up to now?

So, last night I decided to read a chapter to see what the fuss was about.

83 chapters later, I can see why it's awesome.

    This manga is awesome.

I really like this new arc, Sinbad was really in a pinch for a moment here.

For an accusation of rape, that whole ordeal was pretty funny. Poor Sinbad, even his closest liutenants wouldn't side with him.

Also, I'm starting to like the princess. I expected her to be the "bad princess" and Hakuei being a good one, but there's something kinda endearing about Kougyouku as well.

You know, chapter 87 really kinda made me realize just how far Alibaba has come. Seriously, he has had one hell of a character arc so far.

Also, seems like the gang is finally going dungeon diving again. Hell yes.

This arc is really, really good so far.

Hyakuryu is fast becoming my favourite character.

Really? I think he could use less moping about his own uselessness.

Well he'll probably get some character development before this arc is over.
