Default Resurrection Man # 7 discussion / spoilers

Last issue Mitch was in Gotham. This time he's in Metropolis. I appreciate DC's effort in (desperately) trying to introduce Resurrection Man to Batman and Superman readers. This issue was even previewed in the Superman facebook page. I hope the past 2 issues do bring in some readers.

In this issue, he takes down a villain called Mr. Untouchable... Good action. Good art. But for readers who have been picking this up since issue one, this definitely is a 2nd filler issue in a row. Can't wait to get back to the story line / concepts that was left open after issue 5 (Heaven and hell battling for Mitch's soul, the Body Doubles, Transhuman, Suriel the angel, the guy with rotting flesh who wanted Mitch delivered to him...) .

I don't think it was filler insomuch as it is him following a more worldy lead back to the company that he was involved in. Remember, he's now seperated from the Body Doubles, so he's go to try and figure out what the hell went down.

This is a title that's been on the edge of getting me to drop it, and I actually enjoyed this issue enough that I think it's safe (for now). All of that background stuff will come in time, but it could be in 50 or 100 issues if the writers do their job correctly (and given their track record, I think they're more than capable). Over all though, the most enjoyable issue since #1 for me.

This issue was very new reader friendly. Was really pumped to see if superman would make an appearance but even though it didn't happen it does take anything away from the story
All in all if anyone wants to start on getting onto Resurrection man this issue is the perfect jump on point

Seriously. I don't know where people are getting this "it's a filler" crap. It's almost like they're looking at done-in-ones as fillers, no matter how much background info is told and no matter how far forward the over-arching story is brought.

I thought it was a good issue. Not as good as the last, but still good.

My only real thing with the book is that I wish the writers would hurry up a little and get us some serious resolution to a few things. Not because Im not enjoying the mystery or anything, but because I know this book is not exactly turning heads in the sales department, and I fear it might get cancelled before its time.

Anyway, it was nice to have the last couple issues focus on Mitch. The ones before that were pretty Body Doubles/Suriel heavy and while I like the characters, this is supposed to be Mitch's book. So Im glad we've focused on him alone. Next month Im sure we'll get back to the main plot, but this was a nice break.

One thing I miss though, is the descriptions that went along with each rebirth in issue 1. What the death felt like, tasted like, all that. I liked how it tied into the power he came back with and added a level of....pathos? I guess, to the dynamic. This issue did touch on that again though, for which Im grateful.

    Still loving the book.

I wonder if we can get him onto a team somewhere? Mitch has shown that he's pretty hardcore, I would welcome his membership with a group like StormWatch or JL Dark.

It's a testament to the quality of the "Dark" line of books that this is the weakest title of the bunch, by a fair margin. Because it's still a solid book by most standards, just a bit...well, just a bit standard.

I find Justice league Dark to be weaker...Anyway;this issue was very good I loved it and cannot wait for the next one.

I feel the same about this haha! I was actually going to drop it after #6, but held on for another issue because I loved that one so much!

This was also a really good issue in my opinion and I shall not drop it...yet...

And I've been liking these one-and-done stories
Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.

To each his own -- I'm loving Justice League Dark.

We'll see what happens with Lemire aboard, though.

Well it is far from bad;but I just feel it could have been way better...It might just be because I have very high expectations for everything with Milligan's name on it.

I am rather curious to see what he will do with the characters and how he will handle them;I think there will be a big change on the title.

    agreeance.

anyway, i've liked this book quite a bit since the beginning and i don't really think there's been a bad issue yet. never read the original run so i can't compare.

it seems quite a few of you are on the verge of dropping RM. please do not, as the book will be cancelled soon enough as it is. if we're lucky it might make it to #12.

    Cool Superman "guest appearance".

No offense to the OP, but people who reffer to single issues as "filler" make me miss the eye roll icon.
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
