Looking sweet, US's packing some serious gear there. Interesting that Palmiotti and Gray are introducing a family angle to this too.

    Man I can't wait for G.I. Combat...

Could they have fit one more pouch on him? Maybe on his helmet?

Have you guys never seen a soldier with full combat load before? They have pouches. Lots of pouches.

That design looks spot-on to me.

I don't understand the confusion and bewilderment here, the armour and gear is pretty realistic. Liefeld Pouch Disease this is not!

I always understood the pouches around the chest area. What I was confused about was pouches on leg straps, arm straps, belt straps. That's a bit too much.

Those pouches are all standard issue.

    I can't help it . . . I really miss this guy:

but I guess most readers don't give a crap about stories that take place during WWII.

I really miss Dysart's Unknown Soldier but I guess most readers don't give a crap about stories that take place in Uganda (even though the main villain from that run, Joseph Kony, is now a viral superstar).

I like it. Mostly because it's realistic. Also cuz it's really cool.

But I have to say... Is Jim Lee gonna give a gig to every long lost former Wildstorm/Image artist? If so, where the hell is Travis Charest?

He's still working on the next issue of WildCATS (volume 2)

I don't think Dan Panosian was a Wildstorm guy. I could be wrong. I know he did Liefeld style stuff. I think he worked on X-Force when Liefeld left to do the big Image Youngblood thing that was big.
