he should be able to defeat cap but i too don't see him winning this battle. cap will lose to cyclops, if anyone.

Doesn't Gambit have enhanced reflexes?
I remember him being fast enough to block bullets with his staff.
He also has that card charge thingie.
I actually don't think Captain America can beat Gambit in a real fight.
However, Captain America is the Marvel God and can beat anyone, so in this series, he'll probably kick Gambit's a$$.

I'm a big Gambit fan, but come on. There's no way Gambit could beat Captain America, and there's no way they'd let Cap get beaten by Gambit anyway (unless he took a strategic dive). That kind of goes for a lot of these battles, actually.

Last time I checked Gambit was no pushover where hand to hand or close quarters fighting is concerned. I think in a "real" fight he would take Cap to grad school, but I'm sure Cap will take this round due to who he is.
