AvX has been pretty good so far, actually. Mainly I'm focused on Jason Aaron's stuff, but overall, even with Bendis involved, I am liking it. This does not seem to be another Civil War.

No Batman is put on 100% and the rest is based off of that. So for example when Batman sold 100,000 copies, AvX would have sold 121,480 in April. The only thing is no-one never really knows how much any of the books sold to retailers...

so why do we care? Is this just for corporate nationalism?

You shouldn't really care. God knows I don't anymore.

All I do is buy and support what I enjoy.

Wait a minute, I don't Marvel double shipped more than 1 or 2 books.

Surely that can't account for I,Vampires low sales. I,Vampire could be suffering (unfairly I might add) from an oversaturation of Vampire angst in media.

From Vampire Diaries to Twilight to Being Human... The vampire thing is everywhere.

It's sad that a book like I, Vampire is selling so low though.

Because it still gives a rough estimate on how well a titles are doing, and the lower a title is the more likely it is to be on the chopping block.

You shouldn't. Just read what you like and also look beyond the Top 100.

The chart doesn't say anything about what actually sold to customers and it doesn't say too much about quality either, just about popularity. Mostly these numbers just start up arguments about double shipping and books dropping off the chart because of it, book prices, supposed marketing tactics (what's good and bad about it) and you can also see a lot of general fanboyism (Marvel vs DC).

Well, AvsX is achieving the purpose of its creation. Shame that Batwing is not performing so well, still there's a chance that if it gets cancelled, Winick would be free to write JLI now that Batwing is on the team so not everything would be lost.

Too bad for Green Arrow and Birds of Prey dropping below the 20 thousands, such great titles deserve better.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
