What's with Cartoon Network moving all their shows to Saturday morning ? I liked having something to see on Friday nights. I mean Star Wars:Clone Wars is just wrapping up this season. Young Justice, Green Lantern, and now Thundercats, what ,more Adventure Time ?

I wish it could be both ways, but I believe part of the rationale is to revive the feeling of Saturday morning cartoons, esp from the 80s and 90s, for the current generation of kids. Toy companies made a killing back then.

I would love to see Grune come back with Panthro-style nunchucks made from Panthro's severed arms.

Totally agree. They had a great thing going for Friday nights, then suddenly it all went down the crapper.

Their friday night slots will be replaced with live action shows nobody will watch

As much as I love the 80's cartoon, I really like the new show. I think the characters are more flushed out.

Y'know, as someone who well remembers excitedly getting up on Saturday morning to watch cartoons as a small lad, I find it very hard to complain about having good cartoons on Saturday morning.

Outside of the fact that people hardly do that these days and stands a good chance of YJ or Thundercats getting cancelled due to being on a timeslot that few people will watch. Especially as YJ and Thundercats was doing well on the timeslot they was originally on

In my darker moments, I sometimes think that the powers that be would be happy to see shows such as Young Justice and ThunderCats end up on the chopping block. And prefer to see their more offbeat fare like Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball go on and on.

Then I shall enjoy them for as long as they continue to be on, whether it's a short time or a long time.

Sorry, but I'm going to let my own nostalgic feelings win out on this one, being the longtime Saturday morning cartoon fan that I was.

    Thank you.

Part of it is that recently I had a Saturday off, decided to watch cartoons and then realized I would have to "program" my Saturday morning myself through DVDs because nothing good was on. So, it'll be nice to not have to do that for a little while.

The other thing is that I'm taking a very Zen approach to comics and TV shows now. I'm learning to just "let go" when my the shows or comics I like end.
