no elaboration on your opinion (which you state as fact) that no one here seems to agree with? That's pretty respectable, imo.

That link is to just some random episode i clicked, but to the right is a list of all the videos that catch you up on the story (they aren't completely finished yet). No real summaries, just straight excerpts from the games' important story parts.

the first game got very reptitive very quickly, but I wouldn't call it a "bad" game because of the things it did well...and the subsequent game in the series improve the issues

Serious question, not trying to troll.
Assasians Creed 1 bored me to tears, i felt like i was doing the same 3 things over and over and over again for the length of the game.
Are they all like that, or did it change at somepoint?
And if so, which game did it change at?

changed starting with AC2...they got rid of those "tasks" during missions....the second games streamline it immensely...now some missions are shorther than others, some require you to eavesdrop or pass something or pickpocket, but its done in the context of the story

My son and I have been busy playing the opening chapters. The controls are slightly different from the previous games so it is a tad bit frustrating, but we are getting the hang of it.

Yeah the main change that is nagging us is the parry mechanic. We have been replaying the previous versions to refresh the story in our minds and the tweaks from the other games were more subtle than these new changes so it is just taking us a little longer. We are having a great time though and we are very happy with the game so far.

I haven't played a single AC game, but the few things I've seen of AC3, the more I'm interested. It seems like a very cool game.
