Yikes:

Disney said just Tuesday, in fact, that it took a $34 million charge related to its purchase of Playdom, and CFO Jay Rasulo said the acquisition was one of four primary reasons for Disney posting disappointing fiscal second-quarter financial results.

Disney’s interactive unit, which includes Playdom, was the company’s worst-performing sector, losing $115 million in the quarter compared to a loss of $55 million a year earlier.

Sounds like Playdom needs to wright the ship as quickly as possible or The Mouse might have to cut its losses!

Two interesting things here:

- The FTC has been going after a lot of companies that collect information from <13yr olds lately, possibly to try to shore up blurring privacy lines when it comes to social activities on the web. I know that doesn't affect any of us directly, but it can affect things that we use and love - like Avengers Alliance.

- Sometimes even if social games have a rabid fanbase they can go under if they aren't profiting as expected. I was dismayed to see City of Heroes shut down last fall after 8yrs. People put in a lot of time and money to that game, and now it's gone! Just a little life lesson that all of our achievements here can be erased in the blink of Mickey's eye.

Get Psylocke first. Cable is good, but she is better. The only advantage to getting Cable first is you might need him for the next Spec Ops (but that is probably at least a month away, so you'd be fine anyway). Since he came out first, he'd be required before she would.

Well, the weapons usually give you an idea of who is coming up. Got the energy weapon before Havok and so forth. So far, protection from radiation and energy weapons as well as others. Who knows.

So I'm working on wrapping up Task#25. Depending on the daily spin and any extra ISO drops, I should have it locked down before the weekend. Magneto and the lockboxes however still continue to elude me. Still stuck on 6 out of 8. Hopefully though this run for Havok will give me the last 4th star in mission 3 also. Maybe those lockboxes will be a bit more lucky.

Also purchased Psylocke this afternoon, along with a couple alternatives. I'm not to worried about rushing to get CPs for Punisher, and since Spec Ops still has awhile I'm not sweating any new releases on characters just yet. Really digging Betsy so far. Have her training to level 4 already.
