If you pick up AvX #1, there will be an ad towards the end showcasing all the upcoming tie-in's to the event (Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine and the X-Men, New Avengers, Secret Avengers, Avengers). Don't worry...Marvel wants your $, so they will take every opportunity to let you know what you can spend it on.

I Highly suggest picking up Secret Avengers too, it will deal with the space unit lead by thor to intercept the Phoenix force, and i beleive it is the book that will deal with Captain Marvels return or not

I don't think they're going to do any kind of reboot or relaunch. I think there will be some major changes in the Marvel U (x-gene returns, Cyclops either dies or goes completely nutsy evil), but I don't see them doing a DC-style reboot.

I'm also throwing a vote towards Cable. Without the TK Virus, he's pretty damn powerful, and I know he's not gonna let the Avengers harm/capture Hope(if we're still doing that by issue 8)
And I thought Copiel was doing #8? He's gone from doing 4 issues, to 3, to 2!
