I've never seen them so cheap before.
glad I was able to snag a copy for so cheap...thank you for posting that deal!!
Well I don't know about anyone else, but I placed an order a couple days ago, then got an e-mail today saying they were canceling it
Did they give a reason why? My own took a day to confirm. Did they run out of copies by the time they processed your order?

Well when I went to the site teh $16 ones had already disapeared, but there was also someone selling $20 with free shipping, so I decided to just go with that instead, it said they still had 3 available, but the reply they gave me pretty much just says that for any number of reasons, its out
I'm just gonna keep an eye on that site for any other deals for awhile hereThe following order has been cancelled because the item is unavailable. There are many possibilities as to why the bookseller marked the book(s) unavailable:
- It may have been previously sold and not yet removed from our database.
- The book was sold to a walk-in customer in the bookseller's store
- There may have been a previous hold on the book
- The book was misplaced but the bookseller did not realize it was missing until they tried to locate it
I just got my order cancelled too. Very weird.
just had notice of mine being cancelled...it said "the shipment was sent back to them" ???
I'm wondering if the price was a massive mistake and they're just doing this to cover it
Yeah, that seems to be the case.
OK, I asked them about it and got an email explaining all items were water damaged.
Like depending on enormous deals on some books, people might opt to buy those plus one or two others for panning out the shipping better, or to get free shipping even as meeting to some required purchase figure.
And then they'd only have to cancel the superdeal due to it being just bogus. Like on account of "water damage" or "the dog ate it".
Such would invoke websites to get hit both as any purchases being made outside of the apparent superdeals.
My LCS usually charges normal prices, plus shipping even, without fault, but beyond that they may inclose books for free.
I may not catch outrageous deals that way (or only for stuff I wouldn't buy normally) but at least I acquire what stuff I want, actually and in good order always. Or they reimburse me with no sweat as with providing me alterior copies. Although that has never been needed as yet in the 10 to 14 years up to now.
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
