Oh, so it looks like Sinister has some part in creating this AvX rift. This makes it all the more interesting for me!

"Glamour is definitely a good word for the types of stories he does best" describing Land's art style. This made me LOL.

    Aliens, aliens, aliens...more bloody aliens.

I see he mentions his obsession with villains. Which makes me think 'Cyclops heroic team'. Consisting primarily of a robot killing machine, a demon, two unrepentant bigots and a man possessed by the evil of Cyttorak.

Put this lot up against the Avengers and the X Men will look like the bad guys. And that's probably the whole idea.

I agree that there are TOO MANY alien threats. The X-Men barely have any villains left. It's sad. I wish Mojo would kidnap them, at least he's a classic.

Kieron Gillen has done more than enough to earn my trust and the trust of many other Uncanny X-men fans with his run. I like how he's mixed the events of the Dark Angel Saga with the Tabula Rasa arc. It certainly stands to reason that an entirely new ecosystem appearing in the middle of Montana would warrant some attention. I look forward to seeing how he wraps that story up.

The Peak story sounds like an interesting prelude. Gillen describes it as if it's the last team-up of it's kind between the Avengers and the X-men. I think it's fitting that there would be one last arc with them working together before they start beating each other up in AvX.

Plus, he finally gets to revisit some of the elements he created with SWORD. It's been so long that I really don't remember much from that series. It's a shame it didn't go on longer, but if it helped in getting Gillen on board with Uncanny then I think it served it's purpose.

As for the AvX tie-ins, I'm especially interested in how he'll get Sinister involved. He seemed to know more than he let on during the first arc. He knows about the Phoenix and he knows what often happens to red haired, green eyed girls who wield it. At the moment it doesn't sound like he'll play too big a role, but hopefully that changes because he always adds some colorful personality to the stories he's in.

No, the idea is to show that the X-Men are justified in taking action against mutantphobes.

    yeah

I'd honestly make an alliance of the remaining x-villains under sinister's rule and give them the fight that they despirately need.

can you imagine sinister having spiral as an assistant, omega red as a body guard, using the newly resurrected sabertooth/mystique destablizing entire regions with the help of their ninja clan, and new reavers composed of ex-mutants with an axe to grind. setup a new brotherhood under exodus as one of sinister's strands and eventually grab all 3 rasputins when they are feeling betrayed by the world after avsx setting up shop in eastern europe .

All with Mojo recording everything in the name of ratings. :D.

that is a cf of epic proportions that could drive storylines for years.

I think Sinister knows by now not to side with Mystique.

I would love to read that but sadly, this Sinister seems to believe that he should only work on behalf of himself, as a new species.

Land's art is glamorous, I'd love it if he went even more Jackson Guice like and started copying high end fashions for civilian clothes. ^__^

I'm game with spiral being the focal point...unused potential is an understatement.

Too bad KG's stifling "GREGLAND"'s creativity by toploading his scripts with the most stultifying characters in the x-verse. Seriously, I think Emma is the only one I have even a semblance of passing, "glamorous" interest in.
