Recently released a new War Nurse Comic, but she's not on the list... She is domain free and first appeared back 1941 Speed Comics

Does anyone know Phantom Lady's status? It seems she's been in and out of the PD several times. Just asking since I was thinking of doing an updated interpretation of Matt Baker's version of the character for the draw off.

Don't know, but characters must be on the referenced list to be eligible.

    Oh, Ok. Thanks Matt.

I just saw the PD characters theme and didn't notice that link to the list.

That Phantom Lady character has me intrigued a bit though. I'll probably draw her anyway... just not for the contest.

What I love about a lot of these public domain heroes is you easily imagine this guy as a mental patient, who silk screened an old bed sheet, cut himself out some eye holes, wrapped himself in it, then picked up a gun and started up some mayhem. Crazy.

I tried to find one that hadn't been done in a while and finally decided on Rulah.

I made this one today, I might actually stretch it out and make a comic out of it!
The premise would be hoards of surviving heavy machine operators and disgruntled nuclear survivors
all working in unison to seal the airholes of the select governments private doomsday bunkers.
George Bush Senior would be in full Kubrick "eyes wide shut" regalia, etc. :D

EDIT I just made this MAN OF WAR panel, I'm not sure this is something I would want to devote any more time to :D
