I mentioned this previously -- be patient about this. The search index for the Forums has to completely rebuild with this new version of the software. It has to scan almost 10 million posts and is only half done, which may explain why you couldn't find some threads.

The great thing about these new SSD drives is we can rebuild the search index without it affecting forum performance much, if at all, which was impossible with the old hard drives.

Does this mean threads that reached up to 5,000 post wont be locked?

Well so far I can say the performance is amazing. It is moving so much faster, i have avoided the forums for so long due to the fact it took so long to launch.

ergh, the theme is going to take some time getting used to.

One thing - the graphics for "No new posts" and "Unread posts" need to be more distinguished from each other.

I noticed there's an auto-save feature for posts but haven't tried it yet. I hope that it works such that when I click on the reply button but my message doesn't get posted, clicking on the Back button on my browser (IE 8 on my netbook, Firefox on my desktop PC), my message is intact. In the past I've had messages lost because of this, and have gone to the extent of typing it first in Notepad (including copy/paste of quotes) and then copy/pasting it.

Most likely they still will be. A lot of mods like locking threads once they get to 5,000 since often it's the chatty threads that reach that mark. It gives the thread a fresh start every so often.
