    Like the title says im looking for some rock band reccomendations.

    Uh, what type of rock?? Alternative, Classic, Metal?? I'd recommend some Foo Fighters. They're great, but I haven't followed them in years.

    any type to be honest mate, i wil listen to most stuff if it is good, just looking for some good songs.

    Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. Start with Hearts of Oak, but all of the albums he's put out over the past 11 years have been excellent.

    Isn't half of the music out there considered rock in some form?

    Are u into hardrock ala Atreyu or Linkin Park? Is it metal like In Flames or Lamb of God? Is it good ol rock-n-roll like 70's Aerosmith or some Springsteen?

    Be more specific man...

    Pissed Jeans: they pick up the torch left by the Jesus Lizard and bring crazy rock, with deranged vocals. Their last album "King of Jeans" is pretty damn good.

    Reigning Sound: awesome blend of 60s garage, soul, some Rolling Stones and Kinks but still rough around the edges. The leader of this band used to be in a garage-punk band called The Oblivians and you can still kind of hear that in some of the music.

    Heartless Bastards: Kind of like if Janis Joplin was her own awesome guitar player as well.

    Without knowing what kind of "rock" you already like, I guess there is always Led Zeppelin too.

    Like Shred instrumentals? At this point there is nothing finer than the band Animals as Leaders.Features one of the finest 8-string guitar players ever. From Ohio I believe.Check these guys out on You Tube.
