How dare Marvel try to promote their new cartoon with a free comic book!

Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

Marvel makes some boneheaded decisions sometimes. First, they cancel the greatest animated Spider-Man of all time, Spectacular Spider-Man, to make way for a new cartoon, Ultimate Spider-Man. Yet 2 years later, it has yet to premiere, so Spectacular could have continued for at least 1 more season before abandoning it. Then, when they finally do decide to launch Ultimate Spider-Man, they do it at a time when, if a kid sees the show and decides to pick up an issue of its namesake, he'll discover it's about a completely different character in a completely different costume. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Ultimate Spiderman is just the title they picked for this new show. It isn't about the Ultimate universe.

Sony canceled the show...it was just marvel/disney decided not to revived it.

Ultimate Spider-man comics in the bookstores are mostly peter parker ones.

Heck there is still no miles morales trade yet to be released

Quick correction. Cancelling Spectacular Spider-man wasn't a Marvel choice.

And in case you didn't know, Marvel's actually launching a tie-in comic for the cartoon.

But who am I to get in the way of your rant.

I think it was moved to Disney before season 2 being released, if so there is no reason for Sony to cancel it

Maybe in Asian countries and others Peter comics are sold, but until when? And what about those who see Miles comics?

Seems....backwards. USM doesn't really need a free comic to promote it. Though the comic could use some advertisement from USM.

Yes, it was. Getting more seasons of Spectacular would have had Marvel pay plenty of money to Sony to produce them, and it was a better financial move for Marvel to start their own show.

It makes no financial sense at all to produce a show you do not own.

How about we move on from Spectacular and look at Ultimate as its own thing? It has a good production team and nice character designs.
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

I will talk about the show, I watched a trailer or something and the guy who voices Peter seems out of place (Drake Bell?).

Since your standard schtick is irrationally (and proudly) hating things, I suspect the voice acting is pretty good.
