Nord's really selling me on this book.

In regards to the variant program, I like it.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

    Default cool idea, lame execution

I like the idea of the pullbox incentive, that can only help everybody - retailers, customers and the publisher.

But in this case the standard cover is way cooler and more dynamic and therefore more desirable than the variant cover is. I would want the standard cover anyway.

Once the logos go on, both covers are going to look great!

Anyone have any idea what a QR Voice Variant is?

They are aware it isn't actually 10 years ago right, and that most people (I would assume at least) buy their comics online now? I hope it applies to online retailers as well.

I go to a physical shop.

TheBeat recently polled their readers on how they buy their comics and physical shops won out by quite a bit: http://www.comicsbeat.com/2012/01/19...mics-a-survey/

so I wouldn't try to speak for everyone...

The is a real throwback to the Valiant of old. They used to do all kinds of cool promotions. If I am remembering correctly, there was Magnus #0 only available with a ticket system from certain Valiant books - then the Free Unity #0 for pulling all of the crossover.

All that said - the normal new X/O cover destroys the variants - haha.

So far Valiant is doing all the right things. I hope they have a lot of success and I will support any of their endeavors as long as they continue to treat the characters and concepts with respect. Valiant was one of the great endeavors, and greatest losses, to any entertainment medium in the last 20 years. Their return can only be a benefit.

I really want Valiant to succeed & avoid the mistakes that Dark Horse made with their Gold Key revival & that Atlas is making with long delays...

BTW the cover price for XO Manowar is $3.99....

    This

and I'm so up for Valiant.

I'm probably getting both covers. Agree that the standard cover is the better of the 2, but I like em both.

Hopefully Valiant will bring the Gold Key characters back.
