With the whole "Batman defiance" thing, I feel like a perfect little detail that could have displayed that better (I mean, he still looks like he's bowing) would be him holding three batarangs between his fingers in the hand that's behind his knee. Would have been perfect.

I like how Batman & Superman are the only ones not submitting to Darkseid.

I know it's a homage but come on...we are to buy none of the others have any will and defiance in them???

Based on how they are written Arthur, Diana and Hal would never bow easily either. Supes is captured but if he had a chance he'd put his foot in Darkseid's face too. Guess Batgod moment is coming, huh.

I'd say a Batgod moment is coming.

Starfire can. She destroyed 3 tanks inbetween panels while wearing purple tape over her nipples.

The more Jim Lee opens his mouth, the more I dislike him and his influence on the so-called NEW 52.

THE ONLY TITLE from the NEW 52 that's truly great is WONDER WOMAN - thanks solely to Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang.

That's a nice piece of work.

Well, I do enjoy the Omega Effect aspect of the cover, crucifying Superman over in the corner there.

I imagine Darkseid won't actually be defeated here, just his plans put on hold.

Thanks for the facts, Batmite. I guess all the people who are enjoying other titles are objectively wrong.

Sucks to be anyone but you, I guess.

Writers compensate for Batman's lack of powers in the JLA by constantly getting him godlike moments. Of course he's the only one strong enough to defy Darkseid, not like those other scrub ass JLers.

    That's SICK.

Reminds me of this Alan Davis cover a little, just in the linework.

I really wonder if Johns can wrap this last issue up in a way that is satisfactory.

It's been Batman and Green Lantern dominating panel time so far and I was hoping we will see the others do something useful. Issue # 5 was a big disappointment in that they wasted Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg.

Remember Johns and Lee...it is Justice League...not Batman and the Justice League. Mind you, why bother with the puny super people when batarangs and a utility belt deals with everything.

He hasn't yet written an issue that is satisfactory, so far as I am concerned.
    Why start now? :)

Maybe this is how they get Superman's DNA to make Superboy
They can say bad thing about you but you must never say bad things about yourself
