I think a lot of people missed the point of Smallville which wasn't to show Superman's early years, but to build the legend of Superman. IMO the show did that perfectly
Are you sure you were watching the right show, if Smallville wasnt of Superman's early years then i dont know what it is.

Chloe was probably one of the best original characters ever created for the show. I hope in Season 11 they explore her experiences being a mom. Is that little boy Oliver's son?

I love Season 11 is being more realistic and keeping those stupid red trunks off. They were ridiculous.
Its very Ok if you are a superman fan through Smallville or any other means. Just do not boast nor slate the comics while at it, not that you were.
To keep the peace with some comics purist its best not to or say anything that can be taken the wrong way.

Sure, but when women who are hot do strip, it's awesome.

What, like Lana getting possessed by a witch?

I didn't notice it the first time I looked at it, but you can see Clark (or someone who looks like him at least) in Lex's eyes.

I finished the series finale yesterday. Brought a tear to my eye to see it all end. This is one of the greatest shows ever made and one of, if not the best, portrayals of Superman I've ever seen.

My favourite supernatural stuff was anything Zatanna. Although not a huge fan of the Lana witch arc, it did take a break from the kryptonite freak of the week. Other one includes the always hilarious Smallville/Supernatural crossover rumours. LOL.

Can anyone help me remember something? I swear at one point Lana developed kryptonite freak powers and could see the future. What happened to this?

Also, Chloe lost her kryptonite freak powers because Brainiac took them when he left her body, right?

I would have liked to see a Martian Manhunter episode, solely about him, filling in on his past as he works a case.

Also, didn't we see Roy Harper? He was the son of a cop involved with dodgy cops, right? It's just I heard people mentioning Ollie's family Connor Hawke/Mia etc. and I think they forgot this.

Roy was hinted at as Ollie and Chloe's son in the series finale.

There are lots of attractive women in many places. Most shows have at least one.

Superman comes from a planet that was destroyed, is seen as the damn hero of the people, a patronizing figure of imposing good all-American morals and all that garbage. Oh yeah, and Mr. Kent also has over a dozen powers (over skilled).
I'm going to guess you don't apply this label to Batman (you know, because he's SUPER COOL), but would you agree that basically all of those criteria would fit him as well? Just replace "good all-American morals" with "obsessive-compulsive self righteous moral crusading". And instead of being the "hero of the people" he is of course the social pariah destined to be misunderstood by everyone... wait, that's a pretty Mary Sue-ish trait too.

Putting aside the fact that having super powers and being skilled are basically defining aspects of the entire genre, Mary Sue is an overused term by try-hards who, despite their best efforts to appear sophisticated by only liking characters that are flawed and "relatable," (relatable in the sense that they experience the same lowest-common-denominator real world problems that everyone does, thus ensuring practically everyone on the planet can relate to them and greatly weakening any connection made, in my estimation), ultimately know very little about literature. Every interesting, well-written protagonist possesses at least a few of these so-called "Mary Sue" traits or else they would be completely boring.

Smallville was mediocre at worst and mildly good at its best. A far cry from being the best show ever made or Superman best portrayal. In my opinion Lois & Clark has it beaten at almost all levels. Yeah L&C had crappy special effects but the stories and the acting were better plus Dean Cane's Clark was far superior to Welling's.
Tom Welling is probably the worst actor to have ever portrayed Clark Kent in any medium.
His face is like a piece of wood unable to convey any emotion. It's like watching Keanu Reeves worst performance all condensed in a single show for us to watch week after week.
Other thing I hate about Smallville was that Kryptonite had something to do with everything. Every freak, every new technology or experiment had something to do with Kryptonite. Dumb Clark who just doesn’t know how to use his powers he also is not interested in learning how to use them properly. He doesn’t even learn how to fly until the last episode of the series. No consistence or character development whatsoever. I also resented the fact that Jonathan and Martha Kent were basically wallpaper. They rarely got any lines. It was all about Clark moping around or making out with Lana or the slash fest between Clark and Lex.
I’m pretty sure that with better producers and talented writers with a real story to tell Smallville could have been epic but that wasn’t the case and Smallville despite its 10 seasons fell short. And let’s face it no one watches CW for the quality of the acting or the stories... They all go there to see pretty faces, big boobs, round assess, abs and six packs. Story and acting be damned.
