    Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor's "Ghost Rider" sequel starring Nicolas Cage had a competitive third place finish opening weekend, bested by "Safe House" and "The Vow."

    Smart move to keep the budget to $57 million (although with advertising, it's probably more)--I guarantee it was the only way to get the movie greenlit in the first place.

    It'll make back its money.

    I'm actually kind of surprised that Sony was able to make it for as little as they did.

    I'm not surprised that they were able to make this movie for $57 million. Movies like HELLBOY 1 and 2 and BLADE 1 to 3 are proof that you can have a movie with lots of action and great looking special effects without having to have a huge budget.

    Exactly! I have zero interest in the film, but I have to respect a director who knows how to keep costs down.
