I support Danny LuVisi's Last Man Standing.
There is less hype because of less viral marketing.

I agree. Of the Marvel films that built up to this one, the Iron Man movies were the only ones that were really impressive hits. Captain America and Thor were successful, but nothing compared to Iron Man and even less so to the Batman films. Plus, while the idea of an Avengers film is the ultimate dream come true for comic book fans, it isn't that much more special than any other superhero film for the general public.
For one avengers comes out in may..
I really hope I can see it in my country...
On the one hand, we don't have a viral plant like metalhead_dave743 around this time and, on the other, it seems that the hype machine for this one isn't cranked to eleven. Yet.
This. Otherwise, the anticipation for TDKR is still pretty high. Sure, there's been a backlash somewhat against TDK in recent years, but that's natural with anything that is popular. I think it'll do big business with repeat trips to the theater from devoted fanboys, but even excluding that it will still be a massive success. In other words, 2012 will be a repeat of 2008, with TDKR being the new TDK and The Avengers being the new Iron Man(and The Amazing Spider-Man bringing up the rear ala Hellboy II and The Incredible Hulk).

It's a small backlash, but it's there. And I didn't notice it until long after TDK was released. It doesn't take a genius to recognize most of the problems and logical inconsistencies that were in the film(though it's still a great film imo), but most people didn't start pointing them out until months after TDK was released. Why is this? And why do similarly praised films all go through the same problem? Look at The Hurt Locker, and how it got near universal praise up until a certain moment when the haters popped out. I don't think that it's just TDK- anything which gets praise will be eventually trolled.
Thank God these haters haven't touched my precious "Toy Story 3" yet with their trollish comments.
But in defense of some of these haters, I would argue that some of them aren't even haters at all. They're just in reality people who are really annoyed & sick of people constantly shoving the movie down their throats. It's like "Okay, we got it the first time. This movie is extremely well done & is of really high caliber. You don't have to remind us literally every. single. second. of the day."
