He's trying to do a repeat of his Johnny Guitar thing with Mimic, that's just retreading old water for him.

I really hate Baldeon's art. It's even worse because the Brooks' covers are generally fantastic, and then you see the interior where everyone looks partially deformed. :(

I'm willing to admit that Gage has me interested in this series since he started off with a bang...literally.

And his plans leading into Avengers vs X-men, especially with how that title will be involved in the fight, is just worth waiting for.

Again, it's probably just Exodus. I'll read Gage's next story arc before I make my final decision.

I'm liking this Rogue. I don't see how people can be complaining about Rogue not being incompetent for once, she was always getting beat down in Carey's XML, until the last couple of issues. Her actually being a threat for once is a breath of fresh air. I mean really, besides Iceman and Rachel none of the gold members are any threat to Exodus, so it makes sense that Rogue's doing the most damage.

As for the focus...can't complain about that either, but I admit that is totally just my bias on Rogue. I do hope that Gage's Legacy will eventually give all the cast members some focus and development.

Anyway, definitely liking Gage's Legacy more than Carey.

Carey has given Gage an uphill battle to win we over. First issue held promise, second not so much. This doesn't impress me either.

Maybe one should skip these issues and jump in when he has found the voices for the other characters. I will skip teh frenzy issue though, she doesn't interest me.

Will be interesting to see how that issue sells compared to the others.
