Not necessarily my first choice, but hardly a bad one. Her work on Supernatural suggests a good fit.

I read the script and was iffy on it but her casting has cinched it for me. I love her; she is a GREAT actress. If this gets picked up to series I will for sure be watching.

Agreed as far as Cassidy is concerned; she's great casting.
Hopefully they keep Dinah... er, "Laurel" recognizable and don't stray too far from the source material. Both Smallville and the Birds of Prey tv series' versions were abominations.

She was the fiance in Harper's Island and the slutty friend in Taken. She's beautiful and a pretty good actress. I'm not especially familiar with Dinah from the comics, but she strikes me as a better fit than whoever played her on Smallville."Family Guy jumped the shark when i stopped getting high every time i watched it. Loved her in the Melrose Place revamp.
I have this idea for the next X-teme Games Gold Medal Event--Bear Tickling. Its like Bull riding but more X-treme! You are timed on how long you can tickle a bear before he attacks you.

Sorry for asking, but why don't they stick to the old Smallville actors?
Are they too expensive by now?
It would at least stay somehow in continuity.

She's nothing like Black Canary. Zero physicality, doesn't seem like the kind of gal that could handle himself in a fight. I would prefer less pretty but more convincing.

Great choice. I like Katie Cassidy a lot. She was great in Supernatural, although in the beginning I really had my doubts. I think she could be great Canary.
