I wonder if any particular cover is a standard or what? Either way I hope my LCS gets the Ryan Sook one, it just screams of class and I love the 'S' incorporated into his scarf!

Thought it was kinda generic compared to his cover on DC (though most of them were except for Chaykin's). I'll have the Alex Ross as usual.

Best guess. They didn't want to pay the Burroughs estate for use of the trademark. Several if not all of the Tarzan stories are public domain copyrights. However, the trademark is still active. You can do an adaptation, reprint or otherwise derivative work from the first Tarzan story, but you cannot use the name Tarzan in the title or on the cover without paying for it.
