Oh, and honorable mention: Captain America asking the Chitauri leader if he thought the 'A' on his mask stood for 'France.' Politically incorrect, I know, but damn funny, and kind of awesome in the moment for some reason. I'd also like to add the X-Men defending Washington DC from Magneto and his newly acquired sentinel army in the opening arc of Ultimate X-Men, as well as the second Magneto arc, the one where it came out that Wolverine had indeed tried to murder Cyclops, and Cyclops gives Wolverine one great blast and knocks him out, saying, 'By the way...you're off the team.'

And the arrival of a sympathetic Magneto!
Didn't like the destruction of Asgard much...too much like Ultimatum.
