Played through the demo, cannot wait for March.
I'm just hoping that you get more ME2 squadmates as party members. I don't have an X-Box so I started playing with ME2. Would prefer to see the likes of Miranda and Thane, over most of the ME1 cast.
Joker also better show up.
Now, I don't have a PC so I can't really avail (plus I've heard bad stories about Origin), but apparently pre-ordering ME3 on Origin gets you a free copy of Battlefield 3.
Link.
The Jaw Squad is dead. Long live the Jaw.
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."
Considering his predecessors Kaidan and Jacob, I'm not getting my hopes up high at all.
Anyway demo was good, haven't touched ME2 for a good 6 months now but within 2 minutes of firing up the demo I was immersed back in the ME universe. Combat is feels a lot more smoother but powers still seem kinda weak I mean by the time you de-shield and de-armour an enemy you can just finish them off with your weapons anyway.
That's the second comment of "Where's Joker?" I'v seen now. Did no one hear Joker yell out "Calvary has arrived!" when the Normandy flies in and blasts the cannibals you're fighting by the gun ship?
Don't worry folks, Joker's in the game and he's still piloting the Normandy. But he has not, nor will he ever fly the shuttles. He's too busy keeping EDI in her place on the Normandy, or at least that's what he tells himself.
Weird, because Joker and Anderson are pretty good characters. It's only the squad-mates where they never seemed to get one right. I do like Zaeed BTW, so that's one of the human males getting points, he just doesn't compare to my favourites Mordin, Kasumi and Legion.
Best Shep is somewhere between full paragon and full renegade IMHO, either side has points where you think "Oh, for god's sake, Shepard."
Anyway, my sheps:
Male Infiltrator, romanced Ashley, then Miranda. Mostly Paragon.
Female Vanguard, romanced Kaiden, stayed faithful. Mostly Renegade.
Male Sentinel, romanced Liara, Full Metal Jackass.
Female Soldier, romanced Kaiden, then Jacob. Paragon.
Male Engineer "Failshep", romanced Liara, then Jack. Jack died (and quite a few with her). Was Renegade in 1, then Paragon in 2
Female adept, romanced Liara, tried to balance between Paragon and Renegade.
I was only counting squad members. I love Joker and EDI.
And the Asari Matriarch who runs the bar on Illium needs a bigger role in ME3.
Unfortunately, the game is set up so you can only get really good at Charm/Intimidate by picking one and sticking with it.Best Shep is somewhere between full paragon and full renegade IMHO, either side has points where you think "Oh, for god's sake, Shepard."

I have 3 playthroughs through both ME1&2, I let Kaiden die everytime....
Female Vanguard Mix but mostly renegade - Romance - Liara stayed faithful...my main character.
Male Soldier Renegade - Romance Ashley stayed faithful
Male Infiltrator - Paragon Romance Ashley - then Miranda.
I was going to do one that romanced Tali, but didn't get around to it.
I have never played a Mass Effect game, but im desperate for good rpgs, what is it like? I tried the demo for ME3 on PSN, feels kind of like Fallout but with space magic? I didn't really like the character models, Female Shepard is ugly no matter what I do.
I did like that they had 3 play styles, i went with story as i feel a game like this would have more FPS type a feel and i dont like those. How good is the story though. Does it have any good and or unique features?
Rogue and Bishop's daughter would be called Discharge, and she'd touch people and drain all or some of their bioelectrical energy out of them causing them to either die or fall unconscious. She could then use this energy to extend her own life, heal herself, enhance her physical abilities (speed, strength, stamina,) or discharge it as various energy beams.
RPG-wise, you probably wouldn't like Mass Effect. There are very, very few RPG elements. ME1 kind of has a loot system but none of the stuff you pick up has a really noticeable effect. They're just items that augment your weapons and armour and, once you get far enough into the game, it'll start annoying you by telling you your inventory's full and you'll have to dispose of endless amounts of crap.
Both games have levelling-up and, although it's better than the loot, not by too much. It's really just a choice between passive abilities and powers that you can use in battle. And none of the powers are that good. Some of the biotic powers look good but for the most part, it's stuff like "[x] is effective against enemy shields/armor/synthetics". Story-wise, I think it's pretty much agreed that the first game's story is better than the second's.
It's not like Fallout. It's closest to Dragon Age 2 (which is no accident; they changed DA2 to make it more like ME. Which sucks for people like me who enjoyed Dragon Age 1 more than Mass Effect). It has the same cover system as Gears Of War, Grand Theft Auto 4, Uncharted, etc, etc, and I like that the powers break up the monotony of the run-hide-gun that GOW is. Elsewhere, and more RPG-like, you can have relationships with some of your party members. It's very similar to Knights Of The Old Republic's, if you've ever played that. Also, the character creation was actually the thing I liked most about the Mass Effect games. I loved the fact that it was the one game with character creation where the created character actually looked as good as the in-game characters. When you created a character in other games, they tended to lack a certain "shine" that the others had.

We need more Black Knight and Faiza Hussain!

Well, it depends on what you mean with "RPG elements".
We've come to point, I think, that levelling up powers and having an inventory are no longer those. Resident Evil and God Of War do not have RPG elements.
Role Playing Games.
You play a role, get to make decisions, preferably ones that matter. And Mass Effect is second only to Alpha Protocal (AP had really faulty game play, but as far as the RPG bits are concerned, second to none, except maybe Planescape.)
Choices you made way back in Mass Effect 1 still stick and will have consequences in ME3.
