I'm guessing the comic was put out before that announcement was made....and on the BioWare panel, so much outrage yet no one says squat to them....I'm contemptuous of the consumers (especially video gamers) because they lack the courage of their convictions....spew all this vitrol anonymously and then act like everything is hunky dory when presented with the opportunity to make their displeasure heard

Emmhmm, questions are from the crowd and live via comments, and taken from the board.

is this what it's come to....where video games are going to have to start getting focus tested, like movies....and in turn, be neutered like them as well....

people can't handle anything but everything being wrapped up in a bow for them??
Have you played the Mass Effect games? You're already playing a neutered product, and no amought of focus testing could have messed up the ending or the game itself as much as Bioware allowed.

out of sheer curiosity, what would you consider an uncompromised video game?

and if you say The Binding of Isaac, here is my shocked face

    Does anyone give a crap?
They didn't make Mass Effect 3 because someone had this deep, amazing story to tell. They made Mass Effect 3 because 1 did well, and 2 did well, so they finished it off.
It had multiplayer where you run around shooting things.

BioWare panel at PAX East....and no one had the balls to rage on them directly

I would at least expect ONE person to throw a fit and get escorted out
    God forbid people act civilly.

Honestly, have you actually read anything by the people protesting the crap ending, or are you just attributing fanboy stereotypes to everyone?

Start at 1:21 and then tell me what's happening to the people.

Humans are getting vapourized. Only happens in the ending with low numbers.

Again. Looks like we made the right decisions when we SAVED humanity.
Ah, you mean the bad endings which you'd have to pretty much do nothing outside of the main storyline to get. Yeah, I don't count those.

Video games are getting focus tested, and have been so for ages.

And if you call fans protesting at what is widely considered to be a lazy, shat out ending 'being neutered', then I'm quite alright with videogames getting 'neutered'.

Lastly, people aren't asking for everything to be wrapped up neatly, or for Shephard to not die. Honestly, you still don't seem to understand the protests against the ending. I'd really suggest going on the Bioware forums or something.

    +1.

And for the record, Vibranium, I like you as a poster in general.

people can be civil...but don't type something like "I want Joe Quesadas children to die" one day, then smile and ask him for an autograph at a convention a week later....be consistent

That's not the masses fault, thats just the guys who go to videogame conventions and attend panels have no balls.

I thought the ending sucked, i wouldn't sit in a panel and listen to them talk about it.

Yeah, people generally ignore the guys who want Casey Hudson to die. If you state your position in a civil, logical manner, and make a point of not sounding like an internet troll, people are more likely to listen to your opinion.

The movements on the Bioware forums, at least, stress that people need to be polite about this. I mean, their petition thing was actually centered around donating to charity.
