I liked his 'Tec run better, but I'm definitely enjoying this. I have a feeling the reason I'm NOT enjoying this as much is because I'm getting impatient between issues. When it comes out in a trade I'll probably be gushing over it.

One thing though....anyone else get flashbacks to The Cult reading this?

I gave it a 3, and according to this that means good. I haven't really been wowed by it like others. I am sticking around and last issue was certainly inventive.

Apparently if people dislike something that is popular then they have no legitmate reasons for not liking it and are only saying so because it's popular.

    Don't feed the troll.

I gave it 4 stars. Snyder is a good writer as far as character work goes, but the story is fairly derivative, IMO. Someone else said there is now a better option than Year One to introduce someone to Batman - I strongly disagree. I will say that Snyder does a good job of showing Bruce's relationship as it stands with Gordon, Dick, etc, so it's a nice way to get into the status quo without knowing anything going into it. The fact is though that Year One is a masterpiece. Snyder's Batman is well written and Capullo's art is excellent, but it's also very much a by-the-numbers book.

But don't get me wrong. It's still very good. Top Batman stories for me are still Year One, DKR, and Morrison's run, but Snyder isn't too far below.

I cant stand anything popular, unless I was originally interested in it before it became popular. Also Batman fans worship him as a god.

This is about how I see it thus far. I like it a lot, but I don't think it's flawless and I definitely don't think it's the best run in years, at least so far. Whether it starts to drop in my eyes or elevates itself to five stars remains to be seen.

Four stars. I'm excited to read it every month and I find it to be the only good Batman title out at the moment.

That does not even sound like a Batman story, and even though I could care less about Batman's Court of Owls, it is a legitimate one unlike Morison's stuff
