Nice interview. I've been enjoying Scarlet Spider immensely and can't wait to see more of Kaine. I just wonder if Houston is ready for his brand of justice.

Great interview indeed. Yost's enthusiasm is a sweet thing to hear.

Btw is it blood or did that low-life thug in the first preview pic wet himself? I can't tell. =/

The first two issues of this series have been great. Yost and Stegman have made it so fans of the Clone Saga no longer need to be ashamed of the fact that they like the Scarlet Spider.

To anyone that thinks this is Spider-Man lite, read the first issue and watch how Kaine saves an old lady. Spidey would never do something like that.

Nah...Kaine's brand of justice is a little laid back round these parts.

I dig the interview, and as soon as SS is available on comixology, I'm buying it! I suppose delayed gratification isn't the worst thing in the world.

That last pic is all you need to know as to how Kaine rolls.

Ryan Stegman's Scarlet Spider reminds me of Mcfarlene's Spidey. The way his body contorts, the excessive webbing, the angles he chooses to show off the character's abilities. But, he also draws people that doesn't make me want to scream, so bam, Stegman > Mcfarlane.

It helps that he has a good writer, too.

Perfectly said. His "civilians" look far better than McFarlane's yet his action shots possess an equal amount of kinetic energy/creativity (love those bullets!). This guy is the real deal and, yes, Yost has already proven to be a very solid Spidey writer.

I want Yost to have Kaine meet Laura, in a battle of the Clones.

Stegman's artwork is out of this world. It's nice to see some fellow members of the RYANIMALS in this thread....oldschool, nick, and alex .

Same here. It's been only 2 issues and I'm already in love with this series. In fact, I find Kaine to make for more potential than Ben Reilly had due to the fact that while he has Peter's face and mind, his way of doing things is vastly different. Can't help but think him and Wolverine would make great drinking buddies.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.

Great interview, this series is so good so far. That last Stegman page is insane, I love his crazy angles and foreshortening; so awesome.
