I got it from Joe Acro as part of the CBR Secret Santa loot. Great book with lots of action, an intelligent story and humour.
I'll be picking up the second trade when it's available.

absolutely picked it up and have been enjoying it since issue 1! And, in fact, my 19yr-old son, whose choices run to Usagi Yojimbo, Fables, Conan, and Jonah Hex, also gets his copy of Reed G.
everything mentioned above is very true for me, too-- Reed is funny, well written, well drawn, engaging, with great, strong characters (including Sterling, of course), and, while lacking the history of Scrooge, is well on a par with Uncle Scrooge for genuinely all-ages adventure.

Enjoyed bits and pieces of what I've read of it....and ordered the first trade today! Will be getting the second, and adding it to my monthly pull list.....the older I get, the more I enjoy titles like Reed Gunther (Usagi Yojimbo is another!).
Currently collecting: Elephantmen, The Flash, Godzilla, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Judge Dredd, Mind Mgmt, Non-Humans, Saga, Shadowman, & Usagi Yojimbo.
Add me to the Reed Gunther lovefest
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.
Grant Morrison
I've noticed a lack of Reed Gunther solicits. Will it continue past issue #10?
Given the nature of the solicit for #10, I could of course understand if they wanted to wait until that came out to tell us about more.

I read on their website; reedgunther.com, that they've been a little busy with some tv opportunities.....but those are finished, so they are back to Reed Gunther. They apologized for being a little behind, but promise to get back on schedule.
Currently collecting: Elephantmen, The Flash, Godzilla, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Judge Dredd, Mind Mgmt, Non-Humans, Saga, Shadowman, & Usagi Yojimbo.
I had the chance to talk to Chris Haughton when he was living in Michigan, at the Motor City Comic Con in like, 2010 (???) I can't believe how genuine and talented he is for such a young guy! AND a great artist to boot! There's something really magical about Reed Gunther that I can't put my finger on, but when I see a cowboy and a big bear on the cover of anything. ANYTHING it just screams 'READ ME' —and I do.
I haven't been seeing it in Previews either, but it seems to make it's monthly appearance in one of my weekly stacks. I would hate to see it go. Though I could stand to see some kind of series. I know his brother, writer Shane Haughton is a filmmaker, maybe (hopefully) something really AWESOME is about to hit us!
According to the Reed Gunther website, #10 is coming out next week (6/20/12). The second trade paperback volume (collecting issues 6-10) is being released in July. Can't Wait!!
Currently collecting: Elephantmen, The Flash, Godzilla, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Judge Dredd, Mind Mgmt, Non-Humans, Saga, Shadowman, & Usagi Yojimbo.
