So cue the complaints that:
a) the regular comic should be "Smallville Season 11"
b) DC will be confusing new readers with the duplicate comics.
...with a completed disregard for "we're trying to give people what they want."
Smallville Season 11 sounds like a really cool book...
But is this because there are so many more stories to be told, or because Buffy Season 8 and 9 have done so well?
Not my thing.
Wake me up when it's over...
YES, this means I'll have Superman comic I am actually looking forward to substitute the one from the Old DCU. Welcome back, buddy, I sure as hell miss ya! :)
Pull List: Batman, Demon Knights, Smallville Season 11, Wonder Woman.
Wouldn't that be just called "Superman" instead of Smallville Season 11? And don't we already have a couple of those going around?
I mean seriously, after how disappointingly they wrapped things up on TV, all we Smallville fans would want would be a Season 11 on TV delivering the goods that were not delivered. But a comic book???? In the midst of the new 52???? Unnecessary much???
Masked Man Issue 1 Reviews
Pulling: Batman, Batwoman, The Cape, Daredevil, Fatale, Luther Strode, The Strain
Good idea, I will have to check this out. Now we get to see what Smallville Clark will finally do in his cape and blue tights.
It's awesome Bryan Q. Miller is working. I just wish it was something less peripheral and more mainstream in the DCU. I miss Batgirl.![]()
I believe all that needs to be said has been. So here’s my two cents.”-- ScottMC, inadvertently summing up the Internet.
Since this will be weekly and digital, does that mean it'll be a freebie like a webcomic? If money, I wonder how much. Anyone got details?

Winning !
Wait there has already been a "Smallville season 11" comic prior to this?
A woman can move a lot faster with her skirt up than a man can with his pants down.
I am looking forward to the print version.
I want to see some of Superman's adventures in the Smallville universe. I am happy they removed the red trunks, those were stupid.
I think this has a lot of potential. Visually, the book will be able to do things that the show couldn't due to limited FX budgets. We will be able to see characters that were previously off-limits due to decisions from Warner Brothers (Batman, Wonder Woman). We will be able to revisit other characters that were relegated to guest roles, presumably due to casting constraints and actor availability (Pete Ross, Martha Kent). And given that the show has shown a willingness to break with the established mythology, there's the potential for some pretty original stories and character relationships (Chloe and Oliver's married life, Martha Kent and Perry White dating).
Smallville hit a rut during the middle seasons, which I think largely had to due with the stalling in pushing Clark towards his destiny to becoming Superman. Things improved in season 8 and onwards as the writers began making the show less "Smallville" and more "Metropolis". By the start of season 10, he was already working for the Daily Planet, in a relationship with Lois Lane, and saving the day using a costumed alter ego. The only thing he needed was the real suit and the ability to fly. In other words, what made Smallville better was letting him be Superman, which is what everyone wanted to see. Since the comic will not be constrained by things like "no tights, no flights", I think it will have a lot more freedom to develop the characters and move stories along.
