What should Donna Troy's origin story be?

Bring her back within the current continuity, or within one that more closely follows previous continuities? Within the current one, Diana already has scores of half-brothers and -sisters. She wouldn't need another sister.

I kinda like JLU Aresia/Fury origin.

So basically a man wasted up on Paradise Island from a sunken ship; with him carry a little girl. Queen Hippolyta adopted the little girl as her second daughter, an Amazon and call her Donna.

When Donna grew older, Hippolyta decided that Donna is old enough the know the truth and should decide whether to stay on Paradise Island or return to her world. Though, Paradise Island will always be her home, she wants to see the world out there so she decided to leave the island, on one condition, she had to take the pill which will wipe out her memory of the island so that the secret of the Amazon will not be reviewed.

Donna then maybe got her memory back when she saw Diana as Wonder Woman.

No origin. Have her pop up in wonderwoman. Keep her the hell away from the titans mess. Maybe she could pop up on paradise island or something. As much as I would like some interaction with her and her old teammates, let's keep her with wonderwoman until wondergirl is gone.

Since they re grounding the Amazons and Themiscyra a lot in the new 52, i'd like to see the Amazons do what their historical counterparts did: Occasionally have sex for procreation. That way the Amazon society can get young girls in its ranks, making it even more dynamic and more realistic. Plus we would see them as mothers (not just Hippolyta) and teachers/mentors (to others aside from a young Diana). From these new Amazons we could get Donna, in whatever origin they choose. Raised on the island, banished from the island, this or that.

But i dont think this is the right moment for her to appear. The only franchises that can support many characters are Batman and GL. In every other one they focus on the main lead who might or might not have a sidekick. It's just like with Flash. We have Barry as the lead and Bart as the kid version. Wally falls somewhere in between, so he doesnt have a vital role at this moment and he's benched.

Dick, Babs and Guy fit in that Batman and GL popularity thing i mentioned above.

They should go back to basics and give Donna her original origin. The only difference is Hippolyta is the one to find her in the fire so she's closer to Diana's age. Wait a minute, that opens up another can of worms. Okay, Diana finds her in the fire and she ages into a teenager prematurely due of her connection to the Titans of Myth.

That's a good idea. I mean isnt she too similar to Diana to be in the new DCU? I mean its not like there's this HUUUGE potential that we're missing out on because Donna hasnt appeared yet.

Yeah but this is a new E2. So DC can change anything. But why can't WW have two girls - Donna & Lyta.That would be very cool.....

In some ways I think it would be cool to have Donna & even Wally be on the new E2. Yeah Wally West Garrick.

A lot of what you would do with Donna sorta depends on what the circumstances are for Diana, which we don't really know. But based on a few assumptions, I'd go back to a basically old-school origin.

The only thing I didn't like about the original origin (not the "she's Diana as a teen" - you know what I mean) was the fact that Diana rescued her. That makes for some funny timelines as Diana rescues her and then 10-12 years go by before the Teen Titans form.

If it's not unreasonable for Hippolyta to venture out into Man's World for a while, then have her be the one to rescue Donna and bring her back to the island. If it is unreasonable for Hippolyta to have done that, then go with the "washed up from shipwreck" idea.

I do like for her to have been from the outside world, because if it is unusual for Amazons to leave, then having come from the outside world gives her an excuse to leave the island.

If all Amazons are as super-powerful as Diana, Diana is just the most skilled, then I advocate some sort of magical or scientific transfer of power to Donna to enable her to be a part of the group. If the Amazons are all just really buff humans and Diana has special gifts from the Gods, then things are different. Diana must have gotten her powers from somewhere, and you need Donna to get them as well.

Let's assume that Diana and the Amazons are still mainly the charges of the goddesses. So maybe Hercules, Hermes, and some of the other male gods create a set of gifts that they use to tempt the Amazons to leave the island. When Donna gets ready to leave, she technically fits the profile and gets the gifts.

All of this leads to Donna coming to Man's World, briefly teaming up with Wally West, Garth, etc. and forming the Titans before several are accidentally thrown to Earth 2... :)

I don't really care for the whole Titans of Myth business or anything that came after that. They were OK in and of themselves, but piling them on just created more confusion.

I would like for her to have an actual super-name, even if it's "Troy" and she goes by Donna Something-Else as a normal name.
