Let's face it, the only place we'll ever find the true, classic Spider-Man is in the comic strip by Stan Lee and Alex Saviuk. For those who (like me) are sick of the whole OMD / BND fiasco, THAT'S where to start.

Regardless of what one thinks of the current direction of Amazing, enjoying the newspaper strip will never be wrong because of Stan Lee.
But man, these plots are so goofy.
The current plot where Loki uses his magic to give MJ a dream so she changes her hair style (but she doesn't dye it, she still has her trademark red hair) and then Loki convinces Thor that MJ is really a reincarnated Sif is just very strange. It's like Asgardians have the worst facial recognition skills in all of fiction.
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

Will these strips ever be published in book or comic form as were the earlier Romita/Lee volumes, thanks.

I've read a few of these and they're ok, bit too goofy for my tastes.
I recall one arc where Aunt May is kidnapped by the Moleman but ends up agreeing to marry him with Spidey deciding to give her away at the wedding. May & Moley were all set to say their "I do's" only for May to come down with spelunker's lung (diagnosed by the priest performing the marriage ceremony no less) upon which Moleman releases his new love so that she may survive. An instant classic if ever there was one.
Yeah it's goofy campy fun but I don/'t really see it being a decent replacement for the ASM comics.
Lee is like the writer that time forgot. I want to like the strip but usually don't.
His memory's gone! Or...is it? It's not hard to fake amnesia! The Goblin is capable of anything!
Peter and Mary Jane being married in it makes it blow away Marvel's version for me.
I'm already reading 3 different current Spider-Man continuities, and one old one. I absolutely love Stan Lee's original issues. They're so mind bogglingly creative and funny intentionally and unintenionally. Still, I don't think I'd ever go out of my way to pick up the strip
Yes. Because what's really crappy is that the real Peter Parker never would've made a deal with Mephisto and now for me the real Peter Parker now only exists in Stan Lee's comic strip.
Which is technically the way it should be since Stan Lee created Spider-Man.
In my opinion anyone who actually likes the current Spider-Man Marvel uses now isn't liking the real, true, Spider-Man...it's a carbon copy nothing more.

you are wrong. Peter never made a deal Mephisto. It was the pidgeon fault.
So what. Stan Lee is not the only writer in Spider-Man. Lots of them put something which contributted in the mythos.Which is technically the way it should be since Stan Lee created Spider-Man.
What an arrogant post.In my opinion anyone who actually likes the current Spider-Man Marvel uses now isn't liking the real, true, Spider-Man...it's a carbon copy nothing more.
Kudos to Uncle Stan for keeping it going this long.. and Larry Lieber..
...I've read that Roy Thomas ghostwrites from time to time..
while this isn't a thought anyone likes to face, I'd like to see the strip continue even whenever Stan... goes to the big web in the sky.. hopefully it will be someone who can revitalize the strip, in script and art
I wouldn't mind them rebooting it, although I do like the idea of having one continuity at least were Pete and Mary Jane are married.
