I would definitely not want the omnibus to get a bigger (dimensions) treatments. I don't like Absolutes because of their size, well that and their huge price tag per issue) and an 800 pg book the size of an absolute or library edition would need a podium.
You mean to tell me you don't read your books on a podium?! I thought we all did that!

(though this actually isn't a bad idea....)

    ISBN: 978-0-7851-6585-9

First I've seen about an alternate DM DJ, which they have not done in my recollection for any X-Men first-release OHC.

I trust Don to admirably represent our cause to any and all Marvel employees he happens to run in to in his adventures ;)

What I wouldn't give to be trapped in an elevator with Marvel's VP of Marketing for a few hours... or, better, the Director of Collected Editions ;)
Astonishing X-men: Northstar OHC also has a DM variant. Annihilators is the last OHC I remember them doing that for (with the awesome close-up of Groot!)

I was on my laptop and when it didn't pull up directly I closed it out also. I'm not hunting either.

Each post is numbered. Click on the number and it opens that particular post up in a new window. You can then link directly to the post you intend.

I doubt that the Omnibus line is in any trouble, but the MPC line has seemed shaky for a while now given the ever-lowering print runs.
Maybe it has more to do with the fact that they're running out of relevant/worthwhile stuff to reprint. I mean, good God, who requested all those Hercules MPE's? Ditto for the Cloak & Dagger, Black Widow, Rocket Raccoon, and the multitude of books featuring Thor supporting characters.

Apparently no one wants that trash because every time I walk into a comic store or Books-a-Million they're are tons of those sitting on the deep-discount shelves. I mean, not EVERY SINGLE ISSUE EVER PUBLISHED in history needs to be reprinted.

    LIES.

I need it ALL reprinted. Especially a 1990s Marvel UK Dark Angel collection and Marvel's Pizza Hut cross-promotions.

(Actually, I don't - I bought them all as floppies to bind! )

I squealed like a girl when the Rocket Raccoon MPC was announced and bought it instantly. Speak for yourself, not everyone.
Marvel cosmic needs Jim Starlin back. As long as he is prohibited from using the word 'myriad' ever again.

Agreed. Not the Rocket Racoon one, mind you, as that series was already included in the Annihilation Classic OHC, but I love me Cloak & Dagger, Black Widow, Warriors Three (the first one)... MPCs. :)

Isn't that material re-printed in the Annihilation Classic oversized hardcover?

Edit: ShooCat beat me to it.

Before they start with the Pizza Hut promos, I'd hope that they'd give us a hardcover collection of those great Marvel Hostess Ads. Now I'd buy that!

Only found out about that afterwards. Still, it's a nice book either way and it was cheap. I'm not one that needs everything to be oversized.

I don't really need everything oversized either. Sure, it's nice, but I like standard sized hardcovers all the same. More important to me is the entire presentation.

(On ebay.de there's a BIN used copy for 16.50€ plus shipping. Seller ships abroad as well, apparently).
I preordered Ultimate Spidey from there and now its switched from "Awaiting Publication" to "Processing." Super stoked.

If you've never read it, you're in for a treat. I devoured this series. Started of with the B&N pseudo-Omni and got the OHCs 4-11 in a matter of weeks, including the rare OOP ones. Next to DD my favourite Bendis book.

Just got my hands on a 2nd printing of UXM vol 1 and I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed haha. They used (as far as I can tell) the thick paper that was also in ASM vol 1 2nd printings, making the omni incredibly thick. I also dislike that paper in general. Coupled with the fact that the glue job on the 1st print is amazing and lays flat (I daresay even flatter than the 2nd printing), I'm not sure which book to keep. Any opinions?

USM is one of my favourite runs ever. When the omnibus was announced it was basically me and maybe three other people who weren't going "UGH WE ALREADY GOT THIS!" or "UGH ITS ALREADY IN OHC!"
