"Cyclops was RIGHT!!
The Omni EVERYONE on here has been excited about getting arrived at my doorstep last night. Avengers: The Crossing in all its glory. In fact I think it was glowing a little bit as I opened the box as the room got brighter for a minute.
In all seriousness I know many of you are passing on this, but I could see about getting some pictures posted tonight if there is any interest. I didn't open the shrinkwrap yet, but on the back in bold letters this is written: "ONE OF THE NINETIES MOST NOTORIOUS NARRATIVES!"
I for one DO NOT want to know which omnis are about to go OOP. I'm weak and seeing that would MAKE me buy stuff that I originally did not want...
I think while most SA books are tainted by what we have read over the years and our interpretation of the characters NOW, Thor is really effected by this. We are used to Thor being one of the top 5 (I'm guessing) most powerful entities on Earth in the MU. He can handle practically anything, but in these early stories he has a very hard time against people like Cobra, who would be a C or D list villain nowadays. I think they were really trying to make Thor more human, more susceptible to things, in order to make stories more dramatic, so there was the plot device of "if the hammer is out of his hands for >60 seconds he reverts to weak & frail Don Blake." This device was used time and again and it gets old after awhile.
