I actually got my first package from ToW a few days ago and they packaged everything very well. I bought the huge (bigger than an absolute) Metabarons slipcased HC and they got it and a couple other HCs here in pristine condition. Actually much better condition than everything in my last CGN order which had some corner dings.

I went ahead and ordered Women of Marvel and Evolutionary War from TFAW.com even though EWar is on back order. I didn't notice but are they free shipping, my orders were $60 combined.

For those wondering, TFAW does pack well. I bought about 25ish books back in November for their 80% off black friday, and they came packed as well as cgn/ist/tow

Damn all these sales! Between CGN, ToW, and TFAW I've dropped just over $300 in the last 2 days on hardcovers and trades. There goes my paycheck...

Oh well. The electricity won't get turned off until 5/23; I get paid again before that.

I've made 4 or 5 orders from them. They're good not great. They package much better then Amazon of B&N but far from the bomb proof the claim. They package well enough that its very unlikely anything will be damaged though.

Int shipping may be different though. I don't know what they do in that case.

I'm looking for some advice regarding all of these sales going on right now. I pretty much just collect Spider-man, and I have all of the Spider-man omnibuses. I'm just wondering if some of the crossover omnibuses feature Spider-man in enough of a starring role to make them worth it. The omnibuses I'm considering are:

    Secret War
    Secret War II
    Acts of Vengeance
    Acts of Vengeance Crossovers
    Atlantis Attacks
    Evolutionary War

Any advice anyone can offer as to Spidey's role in these omnibuses would be much appreciated.

I'm also a huge Spidey fan and have all of the Spider-man Omnibuses.

Of the omnis you listed, I have Secret Wars and Acts of Vengeance. Spider-man finds his black costume in Secret Wars, which is a fun moment, but he isn't the main focus of the book. If you've never read Secret Wars, it's definitely worth reading. I really liked it as a kid so I may enjoy it more for that reason, but I really like it. I bought Acts of Vengeance, but haven't read it yet. I do know that it contains most of the Spider-man crossover books which feature a cosmically-powered Spider-man. If you've never read those issues, you definitely should. Unfortunately, the Amazing Spider-man issues are also in the Michelinie/McFarlane Omnibus.

I believe the Acts of Vengeance Crossovers Omnibus only has two issues of Web of Spider-man, but I'm not sure because I don't own it. Secret Wars II has around 5 or so issues of Amazing, Spectacular and Web of in total. Atlantis Attacks and Evolutionary War both have some Spider-man Annuals in it, but I honestly don't think these stories are very good. I have the individual annuals and reading them didn't compel me to find the rest of the story, so take from that what you will.

    I almost forgot...

I opened my April package from DCBService.com tonight and I was pleasantly surprised! The absolutely beautiful Amazing Spider-man Omnibus by Stan Lee/John Romita with the Romita cover was in there in all it's glory. Wow, what a book! I also got Ultimate Avengers Omnibus, which looks odd with a white spine just like everyone said.

Other than those omnibuses, I also got Severed HC by Scott Snyder, Batman: No Man's Land volume 2 tpb, Batman: Knightfall volume 1 tpb (which I checked out the paper quality immediately because it's been quite the hot topic with some of our omnibus community members), and Cinderella: Fables are Forever tpb.

Overall, it was the largest order I've received all at once in quite some time. When this semester is over in two weeks I am going to go on a comic book reading binge.
