My wishlist isn't too diferent than others, but here you go. I date myself to the mid-late 80's as my prime collecting time. I had a hard time keeping to 5

    1. Iron Man by Michelinie/Layton
    2. Avengers by Stern
    3. ASM by Stern
    3. Cap by Gruenwald
    4. Web/Spectacular Spider-man Vol 1
    4. Marvel Team-up
    5. Hulk by PAD (would be higher, but I have the visionaries)

Others thrown out that I like is the Namor by Byrne and continuation/collection of several modern runs (x-men and cap for example)

Reprints I want to see that I missed the first time is Uncanny (if I had it volume 2 would be on my list), basically all the OOP Daredevil ones, FF 2 and Ultimates.

I've said it before, but I would buy an omnibus of many of the things that that have come out in Essentials. I love reading those and actually don't mind the black and white, but you still can't beat the omnibus.

Before I do my current wishlist, I'll throw out a caveat that I think these first few are almost a given:

    1. Uncanny X-force
    2. Fantastic Four/FF by Hickman
    3. Punishermax by Aaron
    4. Captain America 4 by Brubaker

So with that in mind, my actual list is:

    1. New X-men by Kyle and Yost
    2. Infinity Crossovers
    3. X-men: Onslaught
    4. AoA Companion
    5. Wolverine Vol. 2 by Aaron

Things I don't want to see so soon: New Mutants, Annihilation, X-force classic, and Exiles since they will all force me to double dip (as someone said before, waste a space/slot). I would buy an OHC of the Claremont/Sienkiewicz New Mutants in a heartbeat.

What we will probably get, to my chagrin:

    1. New Avengers Vol. 2 by Bendis
    2. Messiah Trilogy omnibus
    3. Jeph Loeb Hulk omnibus
    4. Deadpool Team-up omnibus
    5. Iron Man by Matt Fraction omnibus

Damn, a Messiah Trilogy Omni would be gigantic. Wouldn't that be 35 issues plus? I already have Messiah Complex and Second Coming OHC, so I don't think I'd get that one. To me the Messiah War is the weakest story of the three despite Choi's awesome art.

What I'd like to see are:

    Uncanny X-Force
    Captain America by Brubaker V4
X Force Vol 3 - would be tricky with the Messiah War crossover though
    Daredevil by Waid
Reprint of pretty much all Daredevil Omnis
    Reprint of X-Men V1 and Uncanny X-Men V1

That would be a decent size omnibus but hardly anything considered gigantic compared to others like X-statix, Thor.

Don't know if anyone else saw this, but Amazon just e-mailed me to let me know the Avengers: Kree/Skrull War OHC should be delivered by May 2nd instead of the 18th. Means it should be shipping by monday. Can't wait to dig in to it!

I think he meant a second omni with the 2, but a second omni would collect volume 3 of the Surfer which would be an instant buy for me!

    My top theoretical omni wants

Infinity Saga (either containing numerous tie-ins or including a crossovers companion volume)

    Silver Surfer 2 (vol 3)

    Warlock and the Infinity Watch

Thanos Omni, including the 2003 12 issue series by Starlin/Giffen and other appearances such as in the original 70's Warlock series, Secret Defenders, etc...

Guardians of the Galaxy (original group)
Marvel cosmic needs Jim Starlin back. As long as he is prohibited from using the word 'myriad' ever again.

Yeah thats true, but I wonder how much they would go into it? Like how many issues of Cable would they include and the Bishop story? Could be 45 issues or more if they went that route.

As for AoA Omni, I think I'll hold off a few months on it. Either the price will drop or it will go OOP, but its not like I have to have it. Just put the AVX OHC on pre-order too, so got some money tied up there.

To be honest when they come out is almost always the cheapest price you will see an omnibus for. The price of an omnibus usually only goes one way: UP.

That is not ALWAYS the case, but its usually a safe bet. Sure good deals come along here and there, but its not always a guarantee.

But I see plenty of people who have kicked themselves because they let a good deal pass only to find the omnibus they wanted went way up in price instead of holding out for that steal.

Got a notice from Amazon the Avengers Kree/Skrull War was moved up to May 3 delivery.

    Is this sewn or glued?

while that's true in the long run, for almost all of the omnis there will be a point after release when you can find them cheaper than at release. Either amazon will drop the price for a bit or some one on eBay will load some off. You're right that there isn't a guarantee but there have only been one or two, since I've been paying attention, that haven't had some bigger discount somewhere.

Then you have the arguably 'crappy' omnibuses that will never go OOP or there will always be enough on the secondary market to find cheap. The first two that come to mind for me are Atlantis Attacks and Evolutionary war. I know I got my AA book for $20 straight up on Ebay awhile back. Haven't read it yet - it could very well be worth less than the $20 I paid for it, you never know...

There might be some sweet spot before they sell out and before the rarity kicks in, but that isn't usually what I experience. I usually have to spend a lot on the omni's I really, really want. I paid way too much on ebay for a FF vol 2 omni and then a week later an arguably better copy went for forty dollars less. GRRRR.

The last few minutes of an Ebay auction really brings out the worst in me. My desire to win completely overrides my better sense.

I'd love to see that Silver Surfer omni. Englehart and Rogers just had a beuatiful run.
And a Master of Kung fu would also be high priority for me. Surely with Moench and Gulacy's permission, they could go in and change the names to more generic Kung fu names and away from the Fu Manchu stuff.
Banned once...and still pissed about it. Well, okay...more like annoyed about it.

I think that happens to a lot of us. It's hard to back down from something you've been watching for days when someone outbids your max by a dollar. And then it just escalates.

Damn, I dunno how I missed this. Unfortunately it looks like the second volume is OOP and runs for triple figures.
