FA and X-Cutioners Song best represent to me the X-men. I first became aware of them with the trading cards and then the comics right at the time of X-Men number 1. I loved X-Cutioners Song but was only ever able to read 2 issues from FA. For me, FA was one of my holy grails. I've been hoping for a reprint for years now.

My favorite part of FA: (at least from what I remember)

I loved the issue were Jean pulls Wolverine back from the brink. The reveal that Wolverine's claws are in fact a part of him was lost on me though since, for some reason, I had always assumed that they were his bone. Guess my reading comprehension sucked.
I have a hard time reading very many X-men comics from that era in a row, but I really would like to get the Fatal Attractions HC. It was one of my favorite X-men crossovers from when I was younger, and I first read them all in a row on Halloween afternoon, which makes them extra cool to me for some reason.

X-Cutioner's Song just didn't seem as great to me as Fatal Attractions. I wasn't a big fan of Cable and Stryfe.

Yeah, thats the part that doesn't make sense. The original should be the regular. Great deal but eh.

I agree. You could always buy it and ignore the cover. The inside is the same after all!

Not in OHC as far as I know. Plenty of Starlin trades though. Rebirth of Thanos trade contains 'Thanos Quest'. Think they might have released that as a PHC, but I'm not sure.
Marvel cosmic needs Jim Starlin back. As long as he is prohibited from using the word 'myriad' ever again.

Yeah, that was a PHC released in mid-2010.

This is what I did. Not paying $10+ extra just for the cover when the insides are identical.

Prices are also dependant on location. Its $75 for me on BD.

I would sacrifice a cute kitten for a Starlin omnibus going back to Warlock.

All the talk about the Romita/Ramos covers got me thinking. Is there any long-term gain in getting the DM cover over the bookstore cover? It seems that recently in the short term, there's a premium placed on the DM cover of $5-$20 but do those DM covers maintain their value over the long run? Are there any DM covered omnis that are significantly more valuable than their bookstore covered counterparts? Obviously, a lot of us prefer the DM covers now because they feature the original artwork and would rather have that ourselves outside of any financial considerations, but this is something I was curious about.

The only upside I see for the Ramos cover is that the only time I won't see it when I'm reading and I won't see it when its on the shelf.

It really stands as an example of how not to draw some the Marvel (aka good) way.

Marvel Masterworks Captain Marvel Vol. 3 includes CAPTAIN MARVEL #22-33 and IRON MAN #55, which I understand to be the original Thanos saga.

If you mean the three-part Infinity Crossovers, each has had their core independently collected, leaving out many tie-ins, but there is no centralized collection.

Is that the Rising Stars compendium HC? I thought that was oversized.
