I've changed to Krisis' side on this one. Nothing I've read of Aaron's has wowed me, and the last couple of things have really disappointed me (e.g., Schism). Hope he never gets his hands on X-Men, UXM, X-Factor, UXF or any other X-Title I'm currently enjoying.

Have you read Scalped or The Other Side? Both are excellent. The man writes more than Wolverine.

Okay, but if I don't like it I am going to have to haunt you and your offspring for generations when I die.

Quick update--ASM v2 with JRJR cover is sold out at ToW and IST. Check out CGN, mycomicshop, or tfaw.com at this point... either Marvel is cutting way back on the variants, or people are just going out of their way to avoid Ramos!

Did they throw it in a box or give you some actual packaging like people have reported recently?

Merrick said he tried adjusting the dustjacket on his UXM Omnibus because it was off-center. I noticed when watching Merrick's UXM omnibus on ebay today that there were two other UXM's still sealed that looked like their dustjackets was off-center. Anyone know if that was a common problem? Mine looks fine.

Its a common problem with all of Marvel's HCs. About 40% of my omnis and about 20% of my OHCs come with the dust jacket off center. Its really annoying.

What are some of the titles you are going to order? Do you know what you are getting or are you going to meander through the internet until the kill?
I work off a list of "wants" but I try to go outside my usual sphere pretty often.

I think the figure-drawing on the Ramos is just too hyper-modern for the older-school Spider-Man fans who drive Omnibus sales. It's not a typically classy painted cover like ASM1 or the classic X-Men. This one is going to be fetching double the cover in no time - I'm almost tempted to buy one!

Modern styling aside, the Ramos cover also isn't a very good drawing period. As I read through Dan Slott's Spidey run I find that Ramos is lacking, his work doesn't have a great sense of form or mass.

The box had six air cushions in it but the book could still slide back and forth but no damage other than the shrink wrap spliting open.
